School Newsletters
Hi
Just wanted to find out if anyone had advertised in school newsletters?
If so, what did you advertise for, bookings, recruits, sales, how big was your advertisement, what kind of response did you get?
The reason I am asking is that my daughters school has offered for me to advertise in the school newsletter and just wanted to see what other s had done?
Thanks in advance Author: leigh
Hi Leigh,I haven't advertised in a school newsletter - but without going off track, i am interested in who i should contact to advertise?? My products are aimed at schools, so it'd be a great way for me to get my word out... but as i dont have any children at school, i don't know where to start! Author: handson
I contacted our schools recently but they all came back with the same thing, that I am not able to advertise as it is for community services only. Even though I sell educational products! Author: beedelighted
on the bottom of todays school newsletter it says :
Australian Newsletter Services P/L
07 3290 196
info@austnews.com.au
Author: Hush-Hush
Julie,I looked in to those details ^^ and that company just provides covers to schools for their newsletters, and arn't actually anything to do with the advertising at all. The schools pay the cost of the covers by allowing advertising in their newsletters....Back at step one. Anyone know of a school who would let me advertise??? Author: handson
Hop on to the Department of Education for each state (not sure where you are but http://www2.eddept.wa.edu.au/schoolprofile/home.do is an example) and search for suburbs. They have contact details for all schools so start sending off emails! Author: beedelighted
Also have a look into the private schools in your area. Although our small Catholic school doesn't do fundraisers, which is unfortunate. They do have advertising in their newsletter. It's a yearly fee for a small rectangle box about 10cm by 3cm. I would just advertise for sales and bookings to just get what you do out there. The recruiting will stem from that, (JMO). Otherwise in limted space it cans look too busy.
Hope that may help you. Good luck with your business. Author: jenlerose
I advertise in my son's School newsletter and all the other local schools only $5.50 per week, it's cheap yet I get a more traffic on my site because of it it does take a couple of weeks to =$$$$ but it's worth it.

I advertise with 3 of the local schools (which I contacted personally) and it costs me approx $10-12 per term...also look at advertising with Pre-Schools mine only cost me $5 per term. I advertise for consultants and parties, nothing too big but a picture helps. Hope this helps Author: Lydia M
what do you say when you call schools? i was concerned they would think of me as someone looking for business rather than someone they actually wanted to help out by allowing to advertise. most schools i know of only allow parents and community to advertise, so how can i come across with the right approach??
