Anyways- since my company really prides itself on it's excellent customer service- and since I've been following Deb Bixler with her Create a cash flow show system- I have started doing all of the above for my hostesses.
I have them send me their guest list of 40 names back. When the lists don't come back with 40 names- I help them to think of as close to 40 people to invite as possible.
Anyways- I have been tracking parties and wanted to share my results because I AM EXCITED!
With past shows where my hostesses sent out invites and made calls, most of the time they didn't actually make their reminder calls- and many of them would send out their invites last minute. Ladies would invite 20 people and have 3-5 actually show up for the party.
Now 2 weeks before the shows, I make a phone call to every guest inviting them to the show and telling them to watch for their invite to come. 10 days before the show i mail the invites and then the day before the show I make the reminder calls to each guest. I consider this my insurance for my shows- because I know all the work is getting done.
So now I have to brag. Granted, I've only done 2 shows that I have implemented this entire system with... but each of those hostesses only invited 14 ladies. They couldn't come up with anyone else to invite. I was thinking, "oh great more shows with 3 people showing up" BOY WAS I WRONG! Each show had 10 guests show up out of 14 who were invited. I THINK THAT IS AWESOME! Tomorrow I'm doing a huge show- and the hostess has invited almost 100 ladies! I will let you know how it all turns out tomorrow- but so far things are looking amazing- for a little bit of extra work. I have a great system set up- that's very organized and yada yada- so the calls and doing the invites don't take that much time at all.
Anyways, just wanted to share, because I am excited!

Andrea, that IS exciting. 10 out of 14 guests is 71%. Imagine if the hostesses had given you a list of 40 guests - that would be 28 and a half people (kinda awkward for the .5 of a person!), but you are right, AWESOME attendance.
I wonder though, do you get any resistance from the hostess? I would feel a bit strange about giving a consultant the details of my friends.... and I imagine some of them wouldn't be too pleased to hear that a near-stranger had their address and phone number! Or perhaps your hostesses are so glad to have the burden of inviting and reminder calls lifted from their backs that they are happy to do it?
