Hi Lacey,
I haven't been on it but have wondered about it. It seems expensive so I wanted to know if it really worked before I tried it. I guess if you lost 8kg it must work? Do you feel hungry on it? And in what time frame did you lose the 8kg?
Cheers, Bek.

laceypaps replied:

Hi Bek,

It is expensive, but like alot of programs no joining fees....I was really naughty on it, I should of lost alot more weight then I did, but I would have naughty food during the week...oops....It was over about 2mths so if I had of stuck to it properly I would have lost more....The recipe book you get to go with it has really yummy food in it, my kids and hubby even ate most of it which was good....And that 8kg lost was without exercise, so if you exercise too you will lose more also...

Cheers

Snazza replied:

I nearly tried this too as my nephew had been doing it and found if he strayed just a little he wouldnt lose anything that week.

I also got on their website and joined their forum and read alot of stories of people that had been getting bad tummy cramps from it. After reading further it was suggested that if you were lactose intolerant that you shouldnt use it. So having a sensitive tum as i do i decided against it. Back to good ol WW for me and my Wii Fit LOL!

I haven't had any problems on it which is good because I am very fussy with food...always have been...I still lost weight when i was naughty just not as much...

I am with you on the wii fit, I love it and I never get bored of it....Weekends are my days off the exercise part though, they are my lazy days...haha...

Hey Lacey...

I have also lost 8kg's with CS. I was on for 12wks b4 Xmas..

I was a little naughty from time to time, hence the low loss for the 12wk period.

I recently started back on it in hope to lose the remaining 8kgs of baby weight I piled on with DD.

I hope to lose it all a little quicker this time...but I'm certainly not going to torture myself if I don't :)

Hey,

I did betty baxter (simialr ) last year and lost 8kgs.

I have just started celebrity slim as i put it all back on (took me a year though!!) and i have so far lost 1.5kgs in a bit over a week.

It is expensive but i have tried other things that have not worked for me and i know this does. My main aim this time is lose it then maintain it!

I am visitings a friend tomorrow who does LR so will check out their product to compare.

Goodluck to you all!

laceypaps replied:

Hi All,

It is great to hear CS works for you also....It is great though cos you can go on the CS website and there is extra recipes then what is in their recipe book, and also a list of recipes to help maintain your weightloss which is fantastic...My aim is 55kg as I am so short I don't look to skinny at that weight..haha...I was 48kg after I had my 2nd baby but about 2 yrs after that I started putting on weight, I tried heaps of different things, pills and other shakes but alot of them are disgusting....then when I found CS and lost 8kg I was stoked....

Maybe we can be each others motivation...I might start a group of Celebrity Slimmers...Let me knwo if you think this is a good idea...

I am not a fan of meal replacement programs. I don't feel they teach you how to eat properly. The main problem with most people is snacking and portion sizes.

Once you get that under control the weight will drop off.

Weight watchers is great as it does actually teach you about portions and "lets" you eat whatever you want. If you want chocolate you can have it but a few squares rather than a whole block! lol

I do know a few people doing CS and they are doing ok and losing so I guess it can work in the short term, but don't know about long term.

Just made the Cheesey Mince Bake and Vegies from the Celebrity Slim Recipes and it was yummo....

What to have tomorrow night...hmmmmmm..

LRdreamteam replied:

Just a bit of extra info, the Celebrity Slim shakes and the
Biggest Loser shakes both have the same ingredients.

I drink both, whichever is cheaper at the time, but it is so
hard sticking to taking them every day.
I personally like to masticate my food, but i will persevere
cos i need to lose more weight if i'm going to even think
about having a second child.
So like anything else, you have to stick to it and not stray.

Personally I like the meal replacement shakes that LR has cos
they are a bit thicker and you feel more satisfied after taking them,
but they are so popular that they are temporarily out of stock
at the moment, I wish they would hurry up and get more in!!!

Hey,

I am really enjoing CS. They really make me feel full, even more so then the Betty Baxter I did, although the variety for snacks is not as good. Also I have not been perfect with what i have been eating but tomorrow id 2 weeks and so far have done 2.8kgs, i'm hoping weigh in tomorrow i will have lost 3 but even 2.8 is great. 1 off those kilos has been lost between tuesday and today so i am so stoked!!

My aim is to get under the 60kgs, last time i got to 62 and just got stuck so heres hoping 59 comes along quickly, i can't remember the last time i was 59kgs!!!!!!!!!!

Then i will need Maintenace support!!!!!!!!!!! That is the key to success.

Perhaps a group is a good idea Lacey as this thread keeps getting longer!!!

nixandbuz replied:

Hi there,

From your original post, I have been thinking over the last week or so to get back onto it.

I started yesterday, and today not feeling too bad, don't feel like I am hungry or nothing, I do find because I am constantly thinking of food that I have to eat, but each time, either grabbed a piece of fruit or drank water to satisfy me.  I started with what was left over from last time and now just purchased a mixed box of product.  I like the variety.

So heres to loosing 10Kgs in the next few weeks.  Thanx again for the inspiration... will let you know how things pan out.

laceypaps replied:

I have been back on it since the 11th, I haven't been able to weigh myself yet, my scales are't working....

Actually come to think of it I can jump on the wii fit that weighs you..haha...

What is everyone having for tea tonight on Celebrity Slim....I am thinking of the Meatballs with tomato sauce...and some steamed vegies...hmmmmm...decisions decisions...

Cheers

Lacey

laceypaps replied:

MMMMMMM.....The Celebrity Slim recipe for meatballs and tomato sauce were so yummy....I usually don't go much on meatballs but these had so much flavour....I am going to buy the new Celebrity slim recipe book it is $14.99 and if you would like the recipes but not buy the book, I will put a new recipe on our Celebrity Slim Support Group every day...
