Dear members,
Please be advised our new 'Forum Suspension' system is now in use.
This feature has been implemented as a compromise to completely banning members from the entire site and will be utilised at the discretion of the Administrators.
While under suspension, members can still use other site feature including their own private groups, consultant directory listings etc - They are only restricted from using the public forum.
Members in breach of our Terms will be sent a warning prior to suspension. Repeat offenders will be suspended. The duration of a forum suspension is at the discretion of the Administrators.
EASY TIPS FOR AVOIDING SUSPENSION:
- Do not make personal attacks on other members (direct or subliminal)
- Do not intimidate or harass other members (direct or subliminal)
- Do not make posts that slander other companies (direct or subliminal)
- If you disagree with a post - reply to the topic not the person
- Do not post advertising in the incorrect section (direct or subliminal)
- If you believe a post is inappropriate - Report it! Do not attack the offender yourself.
- Do not use foul language
- Do not make a post that is invasive of another members privacy
- Basically - be nice!

Duration would depend on the nature and reason for suspension
(...and how much of the administrators precious time was wasted dealing with the issues)
For example:
A member recently suspended was personally contacted and warned several times about the location, content, and suitability of their posts.
This user then continued to make a post with an inappropriate title that appeared on the front 'whats new page' and was subsequently syndicated around the world through the rss feed. This person admitted they were in the wrong to us in writing - so probably just a week or so for this first suspension.
After that, a re-offence would see a longer suspension, and continuous disregard of our rules and requests would see permanent suspension or banning.
In any case, we will not suspend anyone without prior warnings and first giving them a chance to shape up.
Don't forget - suspension only applies to the public forum privileges. These members still have full use of the rest of the site features including their private groups and group forums.

It’s a fantastic idea; innovation is the key to success. No idea how you got the concept for it, but indeed clever and well thought out. This new policy in my opinion is considerably very fair.

Good to see! Rules are there to protect us all and so we should ALL respect them. It's a nasty thing when bigotry and hatred are brought into our nice forum, and spoils it for everyone.
