I find when I'm starting to feel too stressed it's because I've become lazy with my fitness routine.  A good brisk walk can usually destress me.

If you have spa products or similar bathing essentials this is perfect to reduce stress. However, start with a warm bath with bubbles, set the mood with candles preferably lavender for relaxation. Then set the mood even further with calming music. You can even bring a book, if you like that sorta thing. Now sit down in the bath, enjoy the bubbles, lay your head against the back, think of your day then close your eyes and every time a thought comes to mind, see yourself at the beach and a wave comes by, every thought that goes into your head say sweep away. Continue this to all your thoughts are gone, sit back and relax and most of all don’t drown!

Then you can open your eyes and experience the comfort of your bath, place some cucumber eye pads on your eyes or somebody gel or cream in the process.

Just one way to keep yourself refreshed and stress-free!

Don’t forget always do and act positive!

Remember there is always someone worse off than you!

Hi Esther,

There is a lady ( to the best of knowledge retired now) named Amanda Gore. She has video's and books titled Stress Busters.

I have not even looked before posting this, but her old web addy was... www.amandagore.com she was truly an amazing woman. Amanda was the first rah rah rah person I had ever encountered that was hired by a corperate company to rah rah, and actually said if you don't like working here leave :) from that instant she had my entire attention, as it was not the normal shooot for gold bull, she then went on to explain it is not good for your health to be in a job you do not want to be in.. First intellegent thing a rah rah person has ever said..

One of her tricks is try this...

With your pointy finger draw a really good happy face on it,  go on do it right now, draw a happy face on the top part of your pointy finger.

When done, look at your new face and wiggle your finger at your self or those around you... very hard to take yourself seriousely when doing this, and creates at the least a smile, more so a laugh.. the science behind this, when certain facial muscles move in a particular way, smiling or laughing, it releases endorphines your natural happy drug, which dulls adrienelin, which is your stress natural drug, or turn body on alert drug.. try it, and look her up.... I have only in my entire life come across one rah rah person I would reccomend and that is this woman.

If you have a ceramic oil burner, get your hands on some Larissa Bright Australia Stress relief oil blend!

It really helps! It doesn't affect my asthma. While you are at it, grab some of their pressure point balm, and rub into your temples, the middle of your forehead, down your neck - anywhere you are feeling stress tension.

Are you stressed by things you have to do? MAKE A LIST! Whenever you begin to stress about something else, add it to the list! Get it out of your head and onto paper.

Take yourself out of the situation if you can't do anything about it!

Visualise yourself taking the problem, and leaving it at the door on your way to bed. Pick it up the next morning.

Me? If I'm stressed I do the dishes! Scrub and scrub my worries away. This usually helps if I'm angry to boot!

If I need escape from it, I scrapbook, make cards, read a book, blast some loud and heavy rock music! or watch a movie.

Whatever works for you! Cook, clean, garden? Do something you enjoy.

Hope this helps!

I like to light up my oil burner and have a nice aroma going throughout the house.  It settles to little boys who constantly want to run about the house too!!  What do I use?  It depends on my mood, my frame of mind and what my nose wants to smell!!  Sometimes I light up a blend, don't like it then make up another.  My favourite is LR Restoring Blend.  Settles you and puts you at ease.
