As most of you are aware I have just started with Lorraine Lea Linen

Now i would like to have 3-4 demos per week booked into my diary.

What I want to know is how to go about this as I have asked all my close friends and my family is 3 hours away (I did go to Canberra last weekend and do a demo for my sister and sister-in-law) so how do i get my name out there

Hi Deb

Get in touch with the small business centre in your area.  They may have a womens business group that gets together from time to time.  Also join the local Chamber of Commerce and attend all functions you are able to.

Find out about local markets and take a stall. Ask local churches when they are doing fete so you can be involved. You may not sell much on the day, but if you promote your home parties service, you should get a few bookings.

Similarly, see if you can set up a stall at childcare, your gym, playgroups, retirement village etc - anywhere you might find your type of customers.

Contact local charities/women's committees and ask if they'd be interested in doing an event where you donate a percentage of profits back to them. Can you do a fundraiser at your children's school?

Find other party planners in your area and offer to do party swaps (careful you can only do a few of these before you run out of friends to invite!). Other pp'ers are likely to know which school fetes are worthwhile and can give you tips on the local Christmas markets etc.

Check with your upline for more ideas and special promotions you mght have coming up.

Good luck!

Hi Deb

You have already been given some great advice, I will also add; ask everyone!!!!!!!!

You mentioned that you asked all your close friends and family live's too far away, but what about everyone else......Unfortunately a lot of people feel they are being pushy by asking would you like a party?

Don't think in terms as I want to book more parties, but I want to help these hostesses get as much linen as possible for free.

Think about everyone you have come in contact with and ask, ask ask. Don't even think about whether they will have one or not, and never say "Will you have a party for me", to me that is a real no no, simply say "Why don't you have a party and YOU can get heaps of FREE product". It is always interesting what these people say. Most of the time the one's you think will have one say NO and the people you assume will say No actually say YES PLEASE.

It is the only way to get established in this business.

It is great to start of with a goal, but why not put a little bit less pressure on yourself and say I want to get myself established with one a week(you may already be at this), then work up to 2/week and then 3etc.

One last one to add is local businesses. One of my very first parties was with a lady at the local post office, she wasn't on my list and I didn't know her personally, but when I was in doing some posting I took a catalogue with me and asked and you know what, she didn't yell at me or scream; she said yes!!!!!!!! I learnt a big lesson very early on, which I have never forgotten and use when I do training with new consultants. And it is definitely true.

All the best and let us know how it goes.
