I wanted to discuss a topic that people keep talking to me
about all the time.
I keep hearing things like "I don't have my Sponsor living near me"
"My Sponsor is not supportive enough" "My Sponsor does not help
me enough" "My Sponsor and I clash / don't get along" "I dont want to
work with my Sponsor"
Do we really need a Sponsor? If you do have a great one Bonus for YOU.
But if you dont, dont worry, you dont really need to be working
together. Just pretend they dont exist and Conduct YOUR Business
the best way you know how.
Make your own mistakes, learn from them, grow your knowledge and experience.
This way you will be strong in your Business and Successful.
There is no use dwelling on what others can and cannot do for us.
Its what we can do for ourselves, and when we reach our desired
destinations we can give ourselves a big pat on our back for our own
achievements.

In our company to sign up as a Distributor you need a Sponsor

(Upline). When i signed up my Sponsor just trained me and help me how to use the products and do Make-Up demo. Went to her Glamour demos a few times and watch her how to do it and watch her how to conduct the business  presentation and demo products. But after that i was on  on my own. Confidence to yourself and determination is the key to a successfull business! It is good to recruit (sponsor) people as it is a long term financial plan.....But.. if they dont sell as much or make an effort then you wont benefit it as you wont have much commission and bonuses. So if you have a team that is really good and doing well then it is a big Bonus... Profit sales @ 40%-50% percent off retail price then you are in the way of a very successfull business!!!

After all it is my business and i know how to do it. And how to run it. We do have meetings once a month and trainings from the Corporate Office  and  we do have Web conference call thru Skype once a month conducted by  the CEO from USA.

All i do is go to the back office online as everything i want to know is there, product knowledge, engredients, compensation plans, trainings, meetings etc...and our CEO have her own Blog telling us what she does in America .The good thing in our Company is we have our own website and our companys website are separate it is home company website thats were we order our products online.

We dont need a sponsor to guide us but from time to time she email us and we have meetings once a month.  It is our business so it is up to us how high we can go and what we will achieve and how to make our business grow... But i know that how much, my sales a month my sponsor will benefit to it to get her commission and bonuses and her upline as well as the business multiply so everybody benefits.

We are a good team and we help each other if in need of products that we haven't got on stock . It is all up to individual how we want to grow our business and to achieve our goal of success!!! The best thing to do is to go out there and promote the business, do advertising and my best advise is....  if you  have a Website advertise it. Australia Wide and you dont need to work hard you just get orders and customers pay credit cards thru PAYPAL and all you do is shipp orders thru the Post Office...

Great Thread Esther and great response Asterix !

So many people blame others for the failure of their businesses and really, when it all gets down to it, you are on your own and how successful it is comes down to you.

My manager/sponsor is in NSW with me in Qld.

Although Janette is very supportive and always there to answer any questions I have, as is the team at head office - again in Sydney - I am essentially on my own with Princess House.  So, it is my business and I am a big girl so I am capable of doing it without having my hand held, I think I prefer it that way.  I have sponsored girls in Arye and also S.A. and I can't be there to hold their hands either.

I love the freedom of not being smothered by an 'over protective' manager that needs to know and control my every move, I know this happens a lot in party plan.

If you can't manage to do it on your own, don't do it at all and these girls shouldn't blame others especially their sponsors if they fail.

Great replies ladies!

Yes we can offer support, guidance, updates, training information,
seminars, etc. and try to work well as a team,
but from then on it is up to the individual what her or she does or
does not do.
Our experiences with our sponsors might not always be the best,
but our business can be the best for us.
Again, at the end of the day it is our business and it is up to us
to grow it or crush it.

FM-Fragrances-Australia-World replied:

Hey all,

I have been very lucky in being attached to my sponsor, as Jacqui has many skills I do not. In the same token I have many skills jacqui does not. The marrage between us works fantastic, from an FM point of view - we both have real life partners, so anything else is adultry heheh lol :)

Anyway with the above - I would be lost without Jacqui's computer skills, as i am a relic, and just love the old fashioned world, and i will need to be dragged kicking and screaming into this century. Though being old school of sales, I have techniques that will never ever be forgotton or lost on the ART of selling and promotions.

There will come a time, that I will probably only call on jacqui for those moments where I am lost, as there will always be those times ( Not many I hope)  :) and also when it comes to full on putting yorself out there in full public view eg: screaming through a microphone etc... jacqui is fully aware that my skills can be utilised to help her in any venture..

With the team that is on the fragrance train, I can clearly see already whom is already about to start flying without me, and I am so proud this has come to pass, though I also install, I am here when you need me.

More..

Like families there will be occasions where sponsor and recruit fall out of sorts, in this case hopefully the original rah rah rah, is enough to drive that particular recruit/s, and if need be, they can always utilise other team members for help.

As much as I may believe I am the be all end all, that truth and fact is, i am not.. So a team environment is what is most important for anything to grow - Adding like families there is death, so a recruit must feel comfortable with in a team environment to seek help else where other than the original sponsor, and who knows, a new buddy system could be what makes you fly even higher, the important thing is to have a buddy or two, and in MLM you have hundreds.

Adding, it is YOUR own business, and how you drive it, is how YOU see fit. From a personal point of driving I can only do my best, and when taking a wrong turn, look at the map, and get back on the road with ashfelt, instead of rocks :)

My personal flaw in past business, is I find it very hard to work with anyone, whom I have had a personal falling out with ( hense beauty therapy I am the sole opperator ) - so a personal goal of mine, is business is business, personal is personal, this way, I should always be the sponsor one expects ( this will take time )

though I am confident very achievable.

Did all of that help any, my fingers are tired from typing that :)

I am grateful to my sponsor for introducing me to LR -
Excellent High Quality Products and Lots of benefits for members,
but I choose to work for myself, by myself building my business and
my own team, and ask for advice and help
when i need it. I dont expect my sponsor to do everything for
me.
We are good work colleagues / LR Partners, good friends also,
but both are totally separate, and one does not cross the line of the other.
