Melbourne and Sydney PP expo's

It looks to me like you were having a go at me being a male in a female domain? Some food for your thoughts, my wife Vicky owns and runs Personalised products, has done for 15 years. I work along side her (for her if you like) and several other women.

I would much rather have these women, those on this site and the Womens Network Australia as my collegues, they way they do business by sharing and consulting each other is refreshing coming from a dog eat dog male dominated business world. Who knows I may be able to bring something to the table for them as they have me.

I am the marketing and operations manager here at www.personalisedproducts.com.au so it is my job to be here "aiming" (not the term I would use) at women.

Anyway, back to the topic, anyone interested in joining in on an Expo?

I never said the idea was bad or good..

The idea is a good one at that - However you stated your postion, and I would be lacks not to think you were, lets use another word " targeting women" for maximisation of exposure, sound better?

I just find it funny that at the top of many companies, and If required i will go through the list of who, and whom actually has male senior executives, yet " target the women".. probably because we all know 75% of purchases, or the swaying deciding factor comes from women.. Yis yis i know all this..

Would be nice for a change to see targeting non gender, I would not like my big butch Franklins manager seeing your post, and he is doing better than I, much better than I, and it was his wife who joined, but it is him doing the work..

But alas whilst there are massive companies stating in their advertising... "The company for Women" I really can not expect a smaller company to do any less, or more is the hope..

Great idea! try aiming, targeting at everybody.. I love my girls, and yes this is a female dominated industry, would be nice that men don't get forgotton about, especially by another man..

And the company that states" The company for Women" has a bloody old man at the helm... very interesting

But back to topic.  A PP expo is a great idea and marketing to mainly women makes sense because they are by for the majourity of consumers and business owners in the PP industry.

I need to check my advertising, though I am sure I am gender even.. If I am not, sombody point it out to me, hate being a hypocrite.

I approach and invite both genders all the time.

I am happy to steer the Melb Expo (if anyone great at this sort of thing wants to do it please stand up???) It would be great however to have a local on the ground in Syd to steer that one. So If you are from NSW and want to assist in organising the Syd Expo let me know.
