Discussions : Questions and answers : How do PP consultants mulitply their business?

Hi All,
Just another question I have.
Everyone only has 24hrs in a day and 7 days in a week, so how does a PP Consultant mulitply their business with the exception of doing more PP themselves?
Can they sponsor others, teach them how to do PP, then they go out in the field and the sponsor receive a benefit from the overall business turnover?
I'm trying to find out the main differences between PP companies and Network Marketing/MLM companies.
Cheers,

Different companies have different business plans but as a generalisation you can recruit people into your team and then you receive a % of their sales. Also as your number of recruits/their recruits grow there may be different levels on the business plan where you get higher commissions, more discount, bonuses, etc.

Party Planners multiply their business thru Expos, Fetes, Fundraising, and Markets events displaying the products and do retail profit sales, and sponsor people, and product advertisement and do Home parties .This events will lead to more sales, more leads if they are interested will make an appointment to host a party and you offer Host incentives , such as commission on the sale that day depends on how much sales or giving her free products plus hostess gift and she will be encourage and motivated to invite more people to her party. People loves free products!
And the products are expose to consumers and can lead to sponsoring people. And no need to go out with the Distributor as her business grows and she will sponsor more people so are your commission and bonuses . you have to trained her as well as the company and when she is established and her business grows so as your business!! as you get commission and bonuses aside from your profit sales..
It depends on the company's business plan if their is a barrier as Network Marketing/MLM is direct selling and networking and you can do PPs as well....More business, more leads, and more profit sales and more people in your network! Our compensation plan is great! Profit sales, commission, bonuses, cars, trips and no barriers.

Fair question Guy
Just as long as it isnt turned around into a "if you joined Amway" statement next.

...well you certainly read my thoughts anyhow.
Pray, forgive our sceptical attitude here Guy - we have been bitten once or twice before by pushy Amway reps.
All the present ones here on site now are fantastic though and never push so we, at least I am a little on the hesitant side when dealing with an Amway newbie. Please try not to take it personally.
As far as building a business within party plan, you know one day I might just try that one but recruiting and training your own recruits to recruit and so on down the line to end up with those glorious percentages of everyones sales - nothing to brain straining.

KellyG, question. you said that you can recuit others then earn a % from their sales, how is this done?
Does this % come from the head company or you receive a % from the other consultants profits.

Guy replied:
Thanks Marty and M,
Not I didn't take it personally, Yes I am with Amway and I promise I wont be like the others but in saying that, I am proud to be involved with Amway and I think it's second to none and if people new the real Amway, they would see what a great opportunity it has become.

Guy

i agree with Marty and M,
we have had a few bad experiences with amway, and their phrasing is always familiar,
but I won't go into it any further cos I will not show disrespect to
members on this forum without it being warranted.

To answer your question Guy.
The our % of downline sales comes in the form of a monthly cheque from the company.
The bonus cheque also includes a rebate on your own sales on top of your 40% profit margin on sales. Even if you have no downline or team members, you still receive the rebate cheque for your own sales.
It is a total performance bonus. The following example assumes $1= PV for simplification
$250 in sales = 3% bonus
$500 in sales = 6% bonus
$1,000 in sales = 9% bonus
$2,000 in sales = 11% bonus
$4,000 in sales = 14% bonus
$8,000 in sales = 16% bonus
$14,000 in sales = 21% bonus
These are for your whole team's sales including your own.
Where downline are eaning bonuses, you receive the difference between your level and theirs.
eg: You have 4 active downline and are on 14% (ie: total team sales of $4000)
1 team member has $1,000 in sales (9% level) you earn 5% of her sales
1 team member has sales of $500 (6% level) you earn 8% of her sales
1 team member has sales of $2000 (11% level) you earn 3% of her sales
1 team member has $250 in sales (3% level) you earn 11% on her sales.
Plus 14% of your own sales + retail margin.
Hope you can follow this

downunder replied:
Just to clarify in case I gave the wrong impression.
RE the bonus schedule I posted above.
No profit is taken from downline - everyone gets their 40% margin from the first sale no matter how much or little they sell. The bonuses are from the company based on performance per month.
Personally I think starting them at sales of $250 is an excellent incentive for a beginner. I was surprised to get a cheque in the mail from my first order, I wasn't expecting it and it was a nice boost.

glad to see no-one is out to witch hunt the amway reps on here. Yes I am one of them too and have not pushed or anything as people have stated has happened to them.
It always comes down to the person who is the rep, not the company. please remember that as it applies to all companies on here.
There are alot of PP businesses on here who can seem just as pushy and domineering as you claim amway is.
I don't have to answer you question on PP income model for me Guy as you would already know this with Emma Page, which is my PP that I do.

... you know I personally have had woeful experiences with Amway reps and am very cautious.
When we first met - what nearly 4 years ago - I would never have known you were Amway unless I had previous experience with them and knew Artistry was part of their group. You have to be one of the best Amway reps I have ever known and having been in the company many years back, I have known a few.
I applaud Lisa's no push attiude and I am here if you want blah sales approach. After experiencing this first hand with Lisa I know there are good Amway reps out there, unfortunately they are a product of their training and not all have been trained as Lisa has so hence the push, push attitude.
And, yes, alot of companies have the same attitude and they are also the one you will not find me even buying from.
So, Guy I can honestly tell you that not only has Lisa become a great friend she is someone that I trust NEVER to push her product and can go to if I need something without the associated push that I have sometimes experienced on several occaions with other reps. She is someone that Amway should be proud to have as a rep and someone that should be training others - why - because her method works.
