Perhaps this member has their reasons and blocks most ppl except for the few ppl they wish to communicate with and I do understand that but I would like an explanation and I will let it rest
I am posting this as I cannot contact the member directly and I do not wish to stir up a hornet's nest!!!!!!!

I know this has happened before- but I will say that if they have blocked you they are obviously not worth it anyway :) I wouldnt worry about it to much.

Have you tried to personal message them? perhaps they don't realise it.
I had this problem not so long ago, someone was trying to get in touch with me and couldn't. Then I found that some profiles were blocked and I had to unblock them . Try messaging them and see what happens..
