Used to have two border collies. One would stick her head out the window whilst driving along in the car; the other a big boy (but big girls blouse in disguise!!) would try and hide under the seat. 

Animals are weird..............but Richard, maybe his ears are sore, or he has allergies and the wind just drives him nuts.  I have a really crap day when its windy, and any teacher will till you that kids are less settled when it is windy.

We have a blue cattle x corgi (yep I know very strange) but he freaks on windy days and absolutely hate thunder storms - he strayed in during a storm.

We had a maltese (lost her a year back) and she was a cool as cool through it all - nothing phased her.  She even let a burgular in and then bit him rather harshly while he was helping himself only to be kicked out of the way so she came back for another taste.

Some puppies freak at nothing while other take everything in their stride alot like us I guess.

Good luck with calming your little one down though, we find there is simply nothing that takes Max's mind off bad weather.

I wonder if our calming oild blend would work on dogs as well as it does on kids?? Next storm will try it with our dog and let you know

Thank you Kelly - you jogged my memory. Bach's Rescue Remedy works a treat for us to calm ragged nerves and you can also use it on your furry friends.

I have heard about this, but really not done much learning about Bach Remedies. Also I think, I am not sure, there is a Australian Bush Flower Remedies as well.
