Ok, so i know in some way or another we are all business minded people, because party plan is like our own businesses, but I am trying (more like haven't started anything but the thinking stage) to start my own business whether it be run party plan or something different.
I need people who have started their own party plans to help me out a bit here if possible please please please. How do I go about contacting suppliers for goods etc and building a little business for myself. Basically how does it all work out? What are the steps I need to take or follow?

Not party plan related... but I am in the process of dealing with a few chinese suppliers and Australian customs for importing certain products.
My advice is to stock up on asprin prior to starting.
(This is an interesting topic. I too would like to hear members advice and/or stories)

However, besides the asprin and valium, research is the key. Firstly write down some ideas on paper and brainstorm with a mentor if possible. Check out what is already around and where a possible gap may be for something new.
I got asked today from a friend to help her with her company, design a party plan style business plan for her product line. Very exciting, and I am honoured that she would ask me. It certainly got me thinking.
