I am in total shock!! Last night I was informed that a certain company has advised their consultants aren't permitted to use this site. I just do not understand why companies do this? Why dont they want their company promoted? Why dont they want to reach that larger audience? Why are they against it so much?!?

I am only so grateful that All Things Indian allows the Freedom to move and be human. To be able to advertise and promote as they see fit. AND TO THE PERSON DOBBING PEOPLE IN I DARE YOU TO RING THE OWNER OF ATI ABOUT THIS... you will be told to go jump!!! We dont have those kinds of rules!!!!

To the ladies effected by this I am so sorry to hear of this news. I have nothing but the uttmost respect for you.

TO THE LOSER THAT PERSISTS IN TRYING TO TAKE PEOPLE DOWN AND OFF THIS SITE.  GET A LIFE!!!!!!

Perhaps the company should be named and in support of the ladies ring the company concern and tell them we will boycott their products because of their controlling tactics.

I don't know who you are referring to ST, and yes it is sad that this keeps happening time and time again.

Unfortunately because of these kinds of people it is impossible to 'police' all the consultants and what they get up to.

When you have large companies, it's not a matter of ..." you are not allowed to go on this site because of ...."  It's more because they have a vision of the type of image they want to protect and unless they know you personally, they have to make rules for everyone.

Now ladies, we all know how catty women can get and some men too, so keep in mind the type of people who love to stir up trouble and ask yourself this " If these type of people were in my business how or what would I do?"

too many times we hear of some shonky consultant who gives a good company a bad rap because they are the rotten apples.

It seems unfair and probably is, but on the other hand, maybe they are weeding out the flies from the manure.

As my mum says " give someone enough rope and they'll eventually hang themselves"

Why on earth would you do that to some of your fellow "employees" is beyond me! We are all in this business to get out of the house, make some money, and make a career that enables us to work around our family committments.

I understand if someone has said or done something to offend you or take business away from you, that breaches your pp code of conduct. However, if this had been done out of spite...Well then SHAME ON YOU!!!!!

Pull your head in!!! And if this is indeed the same person that keeps doing this to ppl then....PULL YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR BACKSIDE!!! It is not all about you.

I have never understood why some PP companies don't like their name mentioned on websites but I guess I can see why.

I wish this person had the "balls" to out themselves. Then we would know which company to avoid! lol

I do understand why some companies have limits on advertising to prevent the Kookie Konsultant from making wild income and product claims in their advertising and getting the company into legal issues etc. But I am really confused about why the ban applies to THIS site?

Where else can fellow ppers talk about the common issues we all face, gain ideas to improve our guest's party experience and motivate each other. Most of our 'normal friends' think we are nuts or plain don't understand the unique issues we face. This site is a goldmine of information and inspiration.

Sadly, very few of our own family and friends will cheer our achievements like our fellow pp's - no matter what company they are from.  So disappointed this resource is being denied to another group of consulants by petty, small minded dobbers.

Very well said Julie!!!! I totally agree with you. It just seems odd to me that it has never come out about this company before. We have known about the T word and others but this particular company I would have thought wouldnt have minded their consultants networking and growing their business's.

This has not only saddened my but actually changed my way i now view this company. Not as cool as I once thought it was. JMO.

Julie you are so right about this site being a goldmine of information and support to fellow ppers. I would now be some what lost without this site. I visit several times a day and its part of my routine. I have made so many friendships along the way and the support you get is 2nd to none.

I just wish people instead of trying to bring someone else down whether it be for jealousy or just plain nastiness that they would realise karma is a wonderful thing.

Move on and let people be. Stop trying to wreck what is a wonderful little community. Stop being so negative and simply mind your OWN business.

Lillygirl is 1000% correct, you obviousely have some corperatre training.

Image developement costs companies a fortune, and not just once, one a daily basis... so Liiy go to the head of the class, and pat yourself on the back for the knowledge you hold - business knowledge.

Now for the panic merchants, and yis im sounding pissy, and I have reason too, though that I will not go into.

Girls have you not learnt in life experience, if you can not got through a problem, alter it and go around it, serio8usely, i thought i could be a dram queen

I have made it clear, that I will state to any body who asks, read that again, that who asks!!! who I represent I will tell them. And if any company is sayiung you can not tell people who you work for, I suggest you leave them pronto, quick smart and spare yourself the anxeiaty...,.

Use the going around the problem approach...

The valuable information that is posted, is invaluable, especially for new recruits, people needed support etc..etc...

My god that is you guys just chatting to each other, can some body tell me when that new law was introduced to Australia, not to tel people when ASKED who you represent..

Hence girls including Nutrimetics, and all th other, that have a heart attack.... advertise the line not the product or name, and have the client pvt you for the info, in corperate world that simply is called a hot lead, for god sake no compnay will kybosh a lead.

They are wanting their image to be in sink either natioinally or internatiinally, its not personal, yis i was pissed too!! but i know ways around things with adverting, and the padantic policies of companies.

If I was Nutrimetics, and cause I know they are nuts about it, use your brian and get around it.

Sorry for the frankness, but a i have been dealing with freeking beuracrats today, and they are pathetic at the best of times, then a business/personal phone call came through, and Im saying Im still pissed. Not happy Jan.

However I am not about to become a hypocrite and start doing what I have been reading from other people,l quite childish actually, probaly have a disorder

Then you state, recruiting is only for the next week, create a sence of urgencie, and sign them up.  And guess what You advertised, but mentioned nothing, yet it is the ad that will have the clients calling to find out what the hell your talking about, then you slam them with the ten point close.

Truely girls, im realy starting to wonder how some of your executives got to where rthey are.  I have a feeling it is on succession and not merrit.

And girls you have far more power and authority than you think you have, especially if you do any lobby as a collective, for without loyal consultants, Tupperware will loose massive dollars through disgrunteled Representatives, and constant churn of new consultants... Please correct me if I am wrong, about the Tupperware policy..  It seems You can't mention who you work for if a client asks, and clients ask because they want to know, and as a general chat,

But, I think that some of the posts are getting a little too nasty even for me to read!!! lol As we do not know which company has said to the consultants to stop advertising, I think it is very important to watch who we are firing all our aggression at.

Yes, I too have had something to say on the matter of dobbing in ppl to the company. HOWEVER. We as fellow pp'ers should also think about the consequences for the ppl involved when we post anything in regard to this topic.

Do we not realise that these companies come in here as guests to monitor there consultants to see that they are abiding by the rules?? So! If we are all bagging CEO's of companies or the companies policies and trademark logos, then we could be facing some serious legal ramefications. Not to mention making life very hard for consultants of the said company.

By all means have a vent and have empathy for those you think are involved. BUT be careful to what extent you take your gripe! These companies still have consultants in this site and we do not want to make it harder for them to do their job anymore than we want someone making it hard for us.

In other words, maybe it is time to let this post die. FOREVER. Lets try and respect pp company wishes and WITHOUT naming pp's, get back to getting some good ol fashioned advice and tips on how to be succuessful at out INDIVIDUAL party plans.

JMO take it as you will.

I am a Tupperware demonstrator and refuse to stop using sites like these!

I am not at all using it as a marketing or advertising medium - simply to get hints/tips and make some wonderful friends = all of which i have done.

Tupperware don't want you advertising as we are not supposed to discount the products and also are not supposed to recruit unless its someone we can see in person (not interstate etc) The main one for tupperware though is selling online and that happens all the time unfortunately on ebay and the likes anyway!

I just wish that people would spend more time worrying about themselves rather than others that are just doing their job and minding their own business!

I advertise/publicise the fact that I am a TUpperware demonstrator, not the product though, just myself and able to help people out with their tupperware needs!

Exactly right, as I said in off your chest. The reason we all came here was  because we were all in the same business just different names. I had hoped to learn how to hold a brilliant showing and you all use to offer great advice whether it be the legal side, how to get real bookings, proper games that are fun etc. but lately it has been a bit boring, I really don't like Days of Our lives so I don't watch it and I really don't want to read it. If there are trouble makers on here and everyone except a couple of us know who it is then do something about them, no use just writing about them, those that know who they are get together and ask Mr and Mrs PP to have them removed, so that everyone else can come on here and relax and enjoy the site. I find it interesting to know all the different party plans, cause I didn't even know there was an alcohol one, or a chocolate one or even one all about cooking. All I ever knew was linen, Tupper, andbags and clothing and yes I did know about the adult ones too. It is only fair that if you come here you should have the freedom to talk about what you do, because there are new consultants coming in and they need all the help they can get. Come on Ladies and Gentlemen lets get back to the real issues of PartyPlan.com. Do you remember what they are?

I havent been on here for awhile, have been very busy, have moved house/town, have started a course (Teacher's Aide Special), and joined up with a skincare/make-up company (not Avon).

I was wondering if anyone could private message me with the names of companies who either cannot be named on the site, or cannot advertise on this site.  As I have joined a company who wont allow me to advertise, I have been told by my Unit Leader (who's unit is in the top ten of Australia and NZ!) that I can tell people who I am with, but not allowed to advertise or sell products online.  So before I tell anyone who I am with, I would just like to know before hand if I am going to get "dobbed in" if I mention them.

The easiest thing to do, is to check with your company of rules about chatting online in a forum what you do.  I think it's usually ok to say you are a consultant with ..... but not ok to advertise their products as you do not have the marketing rights to do so.

This all seems petty I know, so don't stress too much about what others may or may not do.  Find out for yourself, and not worry about what others think.
