Yes they may grow up and make their own decisions, but when they ring you and want your advice or to just talk to you about the latest problem, you know you are still necessary in their lives.

And when you hear or see them do something with their kids that you know you did a million times as they were growing up, you know they were listening after all.

So even with all the AAAAAArrrrrgggghhhh and hair pulling, make it count, and love them no matter what, cause one day they may grow up and leave home, but they will be back if they know they can.

Yes... I will miss them but not the hassles, girlfriends, job problems, stupid mates and associated bull that surrounds my two eldest at the moment.  Bring on Freedom and Independence - for mum.
Just so you know I do love them but after 21 I think I need time off for good behaviour - just need a break.
Lisa, I know you need one too. 
Scream all you need to, dear one, and allow yourself at least one nervous breakdown per day - buy the Goddess we deserve it - all mums do.
