Good luck baby whale

This story has deeply saddened me. I recall a number of years ago, an international event. 3 whales left their migration to the sea too late and were trapped in the antarctic ice. International boats worked hard to crush the ice and create a passage way out for these whales. For days we watched in anticipation. Unfortunately, the result was not positive, but the world was out there working together to try and save these poor creatures.
Here in Australia we cannot help a poor baby animal, with the authorities stopping and preventing anyone with a possible solution to feed this creature or ease its misery with the misguided notion that they may injure the animal further.
Thankyou do gooder authorities you have allowed Colin to slowly starve for 3 days. The decision to euthanase, to put it out of its misery is a bit late. Starvation is a cruel death, and Colin has been in distress for 3 days already.

They did get him today,if they had done their studies there was an easy formula to feed him and then travel out to sea, find the mum....but no....its not to be
R.I.P beautiful

ST, I posted a comment about this in the "off your chest" section, just 1 minute after you posted this lol. I just found this one now, and so agree with you and Cris.
On TV last night I saw the spokeswoman saying how Colin passed peacefully etc etc. Then a few other people who were watching from the sidelines, said it wasn't as easy as we are being told. Footage was also shown of Colin dragging the dingy full of people around - after he had been sedated. If he was beyond help, he wouldn't have been strong enough to do that.
The whole episode has been disgraceful and those who did this should be hanging their heads in shame. Let's hope no more babies are stranded in Australian waters.

The news stories have upset myself and my girls very muce. To think the head of our country did not come forward to ask for help for this poor creature of the sea.
So many people had come forward after researching what they could to help Colin, he must have felt so let down, do they not watch the stories on tv about other animals being abused and been rescued, what made Colin so different that they did not want to help.
