What are you spending your tax return on?(If you are getting one of course?)

I havent got far yet with mine but am curious about what you are buying?

TAS replied:

Hi,

This may sound boring but plan to put it towards my business promotion and stock for my market stall with ATI.

Also might give the family a small treat of something or somewhere.

Cheers,

Margie

Ours is already spent. We finally gave in and got a plasma screen tv and we got a playstion 3 for the kids, I also got a new microwave and paid out a couple of large bills.

Hubby's bonus in september is put aside for christmas, so we don't have to worry about that.

Lilygirl_wytch replied:

Every year I use it as a compulsory savings for kids clothing, birthdays (i've got one each month from July to October.

This year I've spent money on stock and reinvest in business as well.

The only treat I gave myself was a facial and a new hairdo.

how greedy of me LOl

On the subject of tax. My daughter asked me today, seeing as Sketchkids doesn't tax us, how am I going to pay tax and how much? can anyone answer this question for me. I have heard of PayG, is this pay as you go and is this what you all do?

chocolateaddict replied:

I did my tax yesterday and on paper I operated at a loss. :( Though that included all ongoing expenses etc which I didn't think of. lol

I get cash in my hand after a party and whatever is left after ordering is in my pocket. haha

I am low income before the CA "income" so no bill or cheque.

chocgirl replied:

My choc business was at a loss too, but only just - so I know next year it will be on the profit side!
I still get a good tax return though as I never claimed the tax-free threshold when I started at my current day-job - although I'm going to be boring too and use it to pay off outstanding debts.  I'm about to embark on full-time study, so would like to be debt free when I start!

cindyb replied:

I am getting about 8k! we dont get the family payments through the year- use it as forced savings instead of losing the 100p/f or whatever it is, to just day to day spending.

We are going to get our carpet done and pay off some debt and i am buying a new huge desk and setting up my office finally!

Cant wait for it to arrive
