Excuse me while I have a bit of a tantrum......

Why is it that ALL formal, floor length gowns cost well in excess of $300? then you need the shoes, jewellery etc to match. Perhaps its the post-baby hormones but I'm finding all too depressing to go dress shopping!

Ladywytch replied:

Try seconds outlets.  I know there is one in Brisbane - hubbies ex-skank works there (sorry in a mood tonight) - they sell Bridal and Formal Wear from as little as $99 and there are other outlets all over the country that do this.
You'll find something I am sure.

I do sympathise with you Kelly. I hate shopping for a formal outfit.

For last years conference dinner I trudged to many stores trying to find the outfit that I liked for the right price. Grrrrrrrr. Then I too found  Daniella's. Our conference was last weekend on the Gold Coast. I went to Daniella's and found the perfect dress straight away and within my budget. They have a few outlets here in Melbourne, not sure about other cities tho.

Good luck with your search Kelly, I'm sure you will find the perfect outfit to wear.

Don't forget that some places also hire dresses if you want to cut down on expenses. I have done that in the past and noone would ever have known the difference. Good luck! I am sure you will look fabulous.
