Discussions : Questions and answers : Do you email or message??

Just wondering if you (PP members) only make contact with other members via messaging or if you email pp members via your email address outside of the forum.
Messages or email? Especially when it is regarding a party booking or order from another member.
I personally find it easier to contact hostesses and customers via my email address not messaging here on the forum and it also is a little bit more personal as well. Also quicker as some members do not log on everyday
What does everyone use or think on the subject?????
Another question .....
How often do you check your emails since you are running a business?
ezza replied:
Yes I agree with you- email is alot easier- it takes to long to request a contact on here and when I write a message it doesnt work anyway! :)
And I check my messages every day :)

Hi..yes agree with both of you...personal email is so much easier and as my pc is on most of the time...l can always see if l have a message and take a quick read....
It would be good in this site was like f/book where they actually notify you,you have a message... but the text is there for you to read without having to log onto the site all the time.
I check my emails many times a day....
Cheers..kathy

Kathy, check what email address you have registered with partyplan.com, I DO get a notification at my email address when I have a partyplan.com message.
I agree with the others that regular email is probably more personal, but I think the mail box function here is quite useful. Not everyone wants to broadcast their email adress or even give it privately to a stranger. Think how annoyed people get when they received unsolicited recruitment messages. Using the mail feature allows you to get the measure of someone before you commit any personal details.
Plus, I love coming online and seeing that someone has messaged me!

Hi Kirstin,
I think what Kathymollie meant, was the text of the message is included in the email. I'm a member of a few coding forums, and they always send the text of the message with the notification, just so I know if it's urgent or not, which I think is a great idea, that way we can see what it's about before we login here :)
