Hi,
Part of the fun of starting this new business has been finding good wholesalers. I have been able to find a heap through the internet (and these are the ones I've bought from so far) but have not come accross many that have showrooms in Perth. I have been told that trade shows can be really worthwhile going to but there doesnt seem to be any in Perth??!!!! And I'm not making enough money yet to make business trips to Sydney or Melbourne. So...... Does anyone know if there are ever any trade shows in WA? (I am selling giftware so its a huge variety of wholesalers I am searching for!!!)

In answer to your original question NO Perth doesnt have the trade shows we are looking for. Consider flying to Melbourne...all happening there. Sad but true. Ive looked for the ones I need and wept at the fact they just arent coming here......

While the trade shows mainly occur in Sydney and Melbourne, you can contact the organisers and get a book with all the exhibitors in it. The book also outlines the areas in which the exhibitors specialise eg handbags and accessores and all the contact details that you need. So if you can't get to the fairs, get the book. GHA and Reed are the main two fairs that happen. Many have their websites listed so you can view their product ranges online.
