Here is some text I used. It is pretty specific to my company/product, but I am sure you could adapt it.
Dear Neighbour,
If you want to be organised for the New Year, then this catalogue is for you. Phoenix Trading sells fantastic cards, wrap and gifts at very reasonable prices. Be prepared for birthdays, Valentine’s Day and all the other special occasions of 2008 with our fantastic range of products.
Wouldn’t it be nice to always have something suitable when you realise that tomorrow is your Aunt’s birthday or that pesky wedding anniversary is coming round again!? Best of all, it won’t cost you the earth: Phoenix Trading cards cost $3.25 (or $2.75 if you are buying more than 10) and they are the same quality as the ones that cost $5.95 at the newsagent.
Face 2008 ready for any occasion! There is an order form in the catalogue and I’ll be placing my next order on 23 January, so please get in contact before then. I can take payment by cash, cheque or credit card. (I accept orders all year round if the 23rd doesn’t suit). And do let me know if you need anything urgently - I keep most items in stock and can usually help with a card or gift to suit any age!
