An open date card is a card that you use to only put your next three available dates that YOU want to hold shows/parties on and present this to your party guests as options as to when they can have a show with you.  This is actually an idea that Karen Phelps started and I believe you can download an open date card on her website at www.karenphelps.com  I hope this helps. Oh, you can also give "bonus" gifts when someone books a show on your bonus dates. 

This is a pretty ingenious way to work only when you want to or are available and not present an entire calendar/datebook/diary.
