Hi everyone,

On sunday morning around 11am I had a lady knock on my door. She was doing surveys for morgan research. I looked at her and the first thing I said to her was " I am getting ready for a Jewellery show ( I was still in my pj's). I can really see you becoming a Jeweller in my party plan business. Can you come back in 15 minutes and I will tell you more.

( I was really amazed at her "guts" to go door knocking on peoples doors on a Sunday morning. I really do not think I could do that. ) That is one of the reasons I asked her. I think she would be excellent at party plan.

Anyway Rose came back and I showed her all my Glitter mags. she was very enthusiastic and she tells me the story of her friend who is into Numerology. Her friend told her a couple of days ago that she will meet someone who will present them with a business opportunity. ( me!)

So I invited Rose to my 2pm party. She came, was amazing with the guests, loved the jewellery and booked a party as well.

Her party is coming up on the 22nd February. She also wants to meet up next week to talk about the business.

I will keep you posted.

Moral of the story: Do not be afraid to talk to strangers about  your business. If you get 10 no's and 1 yes, it is worth it.

" I am now hoping I will get more door knockers knocking on my door"

Cheers everyone.

Well done Marina,

You are so right about not missing an opportunity, this morning i arranged to have the electricity connected to my shop and while chatting to a young gentleman i asked him does he or anyone he knows use candles, he informed me that he loves candles and after i gave a brief explaination about the difference in our soy candles he tells me he will visit the shop when we open. Of course he has the address... hee hee

Now he may forget or just never get around to visiting but on the other hand he may tell all his friends about a new shop in the area and potentially i have a lot of customers.

I always think you get a feel for peoples level of interest when you talk to them so never miss an opportunity to chat and Marina you are right, 10 may not be interested but 1 might and that one will have friends that he/she enthusiastically tells all about your product.
