I've had a few cancellations too, I think its the time of the year, it's getting cold and people need to readjust to that, also people start to get sick around this time of the year.  You could do a flyer drop in your local area.  And you just never know, someone might get your flyer and think "oh, yeah, I need some tupperware, I'll give this girl a call".  Your in an industry that is very well known, so I believe this could happen for you quite easily.  Good luck!!

I am also having a lot of postphonements at the moment and looked back to this time last year and it was the same. A letter drop is a great way to promote your business to people and another idea i use at this time of year is setting up shopping centre stands but i know with tupperware you need to be careful with these as tupperware has territories but it is worth speaking to you manager about.

Also consider markets in your area. You may not make a lot of money on the day, but if you can translate some of the people you meet into hostesses, it can be very worthwhile!

Hi I have had postponements too thought it was just me but must be cause of the cold a few have been sick. They have asked me to call back around August for Sept so must be the cold. Just ask if they would like to hold in Sept/Oct at least you will have some parties then and put up flyers at school and shopping center. Also if there is any local schools having fetes is a good idea and check out the Events forum on here there is a few expos too. I will be going to Girls night out in Brisbane next month so hopefully will get bookings then.

Maybe try a few incentives...give away an extra product to people if they keep their original date and have a certain amount in sales...

And maybe think of something to offer people if they book - that way you have something 'new' you can use to ring people who you have met at your parties to ask them to book...although, because at tupperware you have monthly specials anyway you can always  just use those as the basis for ringing people to get them to book. Of course you are going to get 'no's', that goes with ther territory, however, just keep trying!

I have also noticed that my partys have dropped. i have had a few cancel and postponed. A lot of people are saying that they would like a new catalogue when it comes out, but not interested or unable to have a party at this time. I was starting to think that maybe i was doing something wrong, but after reading this, i see im not the only one having this issue. I also feel that with the price rise of petrol and interest rises, that this has also affected why people are'nt booking with us. hopefully with tax coming up, people will be a bit more relaxed and we will be booking our butts off.

i to feel a bit better after reading all the replys i thought i was doing some thing wrong as well but lets hope you are right and we will be busy after they all get there tax and kids money and we can start pushing the xmas angle i just hope i dont full in a total hole before they start booking LOL

when business gets slow for me i send out all my catalgoues and offer people to do catalogue parties, this way your getting parties without doing too much!
Also offer incentives ie a gift for any party booking or something like.

hmm do you have team meetings to discuss all this sort  of stuff?? We do!
