If members can vote a post be deleted, it would be good to get their input on what they particularly liked too! Especially helpful posts could be 'starred' or and given special status, perhaps become searchable.
That way, infrequent members who may have missed a topic can easily find the information that others scored as being very useful. This would also be good for newbies, who could quickly access past 'posts of the week' and give themselves a crash course in helpful hints, probably answering a lot of FAQs.
Sometimes the forums can get bogged down in topical issues which may not be v relevant later, and it is hard to sort through threads on Big Brother, Mother's Day wishes, pregnancy news etc to find the posts that are still valuable. Don't get me wrong I LOVE all the chatty posts, it is just a lot of sift through when you are looking for tips on calling past customers, for example.

i think the forum is already searchable, u go to the top of ya page where it says search and type in a search word, thats how i search the forums anyway. di

Just to clarify: there is already a search function which can help you track down specific information.
What I meant was a feature where you could find all the 'posts of the week' in one place: perhaps the nominated posts get placed on their own board? Or maybe it is a list of links to the best of the forum?
