Hi there

An E Party is an online party. You advertise a date and time you are going to hold it in the events forum on here or via emailing your friends and contacts and advise where you are going to hold it. Whether it be on here in the chat room or another site or perhaps even on msn or yahoo etc.

If need be you send your guests a catalogue a head of time so they will have viewed your products and have it ready in front of them.

You then usually start off by welcoming everyone and telling them a little bit about the company you represent. Keep this short and to the point though as you dont want people falling asleep :)

Usually there are a few games played and prizes given away as well as perhaps a mystery hostess awarded after orders are in and paid for.

You then towards the end of the evening advise if anyone would like to order anything, how they go about it and postage costs and delivery eta etc.

If its run properly it can be a great way to promote your business while partying online.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Snazza that helps.

May have to look at trying something like this. Will probably have to participate in a couple of others to see how they operate first.

Thanks for your time.

No problems at all. Happy to help. I think it would be a great idea for you to hold one as i dont believe anyone from your company has before....well not since i have been on this site anyhow.

But yes a great way for you to get a true feel for how they work is attend some. I am also happy to send you the script i used for my All Things Indian one ust recently if you would like to see it. Just message me with your email address and i will send it through.

  • What is an e-mail ?  Electronic Mail
  • What is an e-party ? Electronic Party

An e-party is run in an online chat room that you allocate.  Select a suitable time/date, and plan ahead.  You need to work out all the normal procedures that you would do for an in home party -   payments accepted, how orders will be delivered, host benefits, catalogues, postage etc.  Send out e-invitations!!

CATALOGUES - it is important to ensure each of your guests will have access to a catalogue.  You want them to be able to see what you are selling and what they are buying.  Decide if you are going to send out hard copy catalagues, use online catalogues or email catalogues to interested guests to be.

HOST BENEFITS - probably the most popular way to award these is by a random draw.  You can allocate points for games/orders etc.  Always post the results as well, so everyone knows!!

GAMES - are as equally important in an e-party as they are in real life.  Award points or prizes for your games.  Send prizes with guests orders or keep a running tally of points and either give a prize to the highet tally or each point awards guests an entry into the host benefits.  You decide.

There are lots of games you can play at an e-party (I think I will go into this in the games section).

Ok, I hope this helped some.  Any more questions ?  Just ask, someone around here will surely be able to answer for you.
