Hi everyone,

i was just wondering if any one could give me some tips. i have been back through past customers and hosts and had a few people ask to just look at a catalogue (ours are quite big) and so we have arranged a coffee date, these are people who are a bit apprenhensive about holding their own party. How do I get these coffee daters to have a party? (Hope this makes sense)

any help would be fantastic.

thanks kim

Hey Baby

You dont particulary mention a company, is this because you are not allowed to? I had a look, and you have mentioned linen, so I am assuming this is the case.  Anyway, if your cattie is THAT big, is there some you can reproduce into smaller fliers etc, of the most popular items or soemthing that may be on special and hand those out to give them just a small taste of what you have on offer.  Really 'coffee dates' are going to be a waste of your precious time.  When they mention coffee date, can you say something like 'if you get 3 of your friends to attend, I will give you a special something when I arrive and we can all just sit and enjoy coffee and browse the books together ' You of course could take just a small basket in with you or have it waiting in the car ready!

hi hushhush,

I sell Lorriane Lea linen, (hope i dont get in trouble) dont really know the policy. anyway. Catalogues arent that big i have 5 but i was thinking shouldnt i meet up with them so i can do it face to face about having a party. I did say that about bringing friends to her house on the day, and she freaked, saying oh no i dont want a party. should i just go and convince her that the products she wants she could get so much off blah blah.

I think the thing that gets me hooked with linen is that I can actually touch and feel the actulal products!

u can sit on the lounge and have it all handed to you. With the quality etc and a reason to get out a cake and some coffee.. chat and look at yummy new linen..
