What have YOU learnt today?

Discussions : Tips and tricks : What have YOU learnt today?

Hi everyone,
I'm reading through a lot of motivational books and websites at the moment, I want me 2007 to be the best year yet!
One thing I've noticed over and over is that it's very important to never stop learning.

So, my question to you is: What have you learnt today?

I have learnt many things today, due to being in the middle of extensive research. What I will share is: I have learnt how to refill my printer cartridge myself. That may not sound like much, but I will save considerable amounts of money this way, and seeing as how I'm in this business to make money, the less I have to put out the better!

So tell me, what have you learnt today? Share it here, so that we can all learn it too!!

I learnt today that I can get the shopping done in half the time by doing it without the children.  You see I have never had the oportunity to try this out until today (or when I have I have deliberately taken ages just to get som so called 'me' time.)  Today I took a list grabbed what I needed and was out of there!!  All this happened as I wanted to get to a job interview.  (Which I got to by the way and I scored the job!)

Congrats! :)

I learnt that some things are best left alone...

I learnt that it's ok to change traditions if they need to be changed.

Not to buy Hot Cross Buns at the end of the night as they are not fresh, and worse in the morning when wanting to eat them....

I have learnt to complain.  Ok sounds strange but it was the difference between a 'pass' and a 'credit' on my last Uni assignment.  The wording of the question was obscure and I had a little hissy at the marker got 5 extra points and the higher grade. If something doesn't feel right to you - then it probably isn't.  Let your opinions be known.

Richard: When your Hot X buns aren't too fresh, pop them under the grill to toast them.
YUMMY!

Madonna: Good on you! It's not complaining when you are right to say something, it's correcting an unfair situation!!
