Are you happy to share a stall/stand/table
with another consultant of the same PP as you???

Personally I belive there is more than enough business for each one of us, and would happily share a stall with another consultant! I seem to get the impression its not a done thing here??! I have done this in the past many times with success and split leads 50/50.
Love to know what you all think!!

Hi!!

I would not have a problem with being on a stall with another person from the same PP as me, cause while you are talking to a potential customer they can be as well so you are not missing out on catching people, and then you split them down the middle or what we did when we did a stall at the markets was a free raffle ticket and on the corner of the ticket just put our intials on it so when we were going through them we knew which one belonged to who, and then we would also go through them again and see where the people lived as some people that had my initial on it lived closer to the other consultant and vice versa and we would then swap them over. Hope this makes sense I think it is a great idea especailly for someone new it gives them some confidence and idea on how to approach people etc. I think you end up approaching more people as well. It is a good idea. Have a great day Colleen

Been there done that and never again.  The emphisis here is the word split.  If the other consultant is willing to split the leads and the cost then you shouldn't have a drama - thing is that it doesn't always work that way.

I have been in the situation where I paid the lot and then split the leads only to have customers calling me and some that came up to me at the following years expo saying they hadn't been called the year before.  Funny thing is that when I went back over things, the complaints came from the list I gave the other consultant.

I now take my daughters with me - both are very confident, well presented young woman and do very well handling prospects.

They have also helped out other stall holders when the call of nature beckons.

It is a case of trust and after years of trying to do this with others and wearing all costs at one particular huge expo and a few small ones I have very little trust left.

Maybe printing the lead sheets/surveys on different colored paper so everyone knows exactly who they have spoken to would be a way of fairness.

JMO and experience.

Good luck

IMHO I love the idea but like Ladywytch says, it has to be done fairly, get it in writing, no matter how good a friend you are sharing with.  Also, I have had it work in reverse for me too, attended an EXPO with a company and did ALL the work, I ended up going off big time at the owner who was dividing up the leads etc.  I got something like 12 bookings for the weekend, and the 3 other girls got none!!!  (They were there just for a bludge and a good time)

I think its a good idea for those big events, but the really small ones mabey not so good

Like the first market night I went to there was not even enough room for me behind the table let alone anyone else.. this was a small stall and small market night tho considering of others I have just been to as a guest

I agree with CM...small market nights and expos definately not share...however for larger events like the Penrith Bridal Expo I would consider sharing (providing expenses were split equally).

Is there really enough business out there for everyone?

First in best dressed I always say...call me greedy
