HI Everyone,

I thought this might make a good posting topic since we are 1/2 way thorugh the school holidays and I know there are alot of mums amoungst us here. Please feel free to post here things to keep the kids entertained. Ideas could be like you went your local shopping center and saw a great show on (put where and when if possiable so others close by can check it out) or it maybe just a great DVD, a new movie out, free activites, even great websites.

I look forward to seeing what is is up to over the holidays.

Cheers

Janine

Bunnings (yes the hardware - my girls love it)

They have DIY kids workshops everyday of the school holidays and also on weekends. They are great for all ages. My 2 1/2 yr old loves it and my 5 yr old would go every day if I let her. We have made -

Mr Grass Heads

Blackboards

Key Ring Holder

Screwdriver Holder

Spring Flowers

They have pirate day coming up and tonnes of other great craft activities. And they are all  FREE!!!!!!!!!!! 9yah love it even better when it is free.

All Bunnings hold DIY Kids Workshops you go go to their website but I found that the website did not give times or dates so drop by for a complete calender for the whole holidays.

My local shopping centre (Arana Hills shopping centre) has a great crafty activity on at the moment, it's called "Magic Sand".
My daughter is too young to really "get it", but basically the children choose a picture which has a sticky substance on it, they then pour coloured sand over parts of the picture to "colour it in".
They have take home packs available too.

Don't forget the cheap Tuesdays at DVD shops.  We saw Barnyard and it was very funny.
