"Nervous" about starting new business.

Hi There Everyone

I posted a few questions about a month ago. I have been a retailer for 14 years and am now trying to decide what to do with my future. I have some savings which I was going to invest and start my own "Party Plan" business.

Initially I thought I would start off on my own with the possibility of employing consultants to sell my range once I was up and running.

As a retailer, over the years I have had comments from customers as to how "unique" and "beautiful" my jewellery is.

To be honest I do not see much online or in party plan comapanies ( no offence intended ) that I actually like. I have always sold an extremely good product which is quiteoften French jewellery and I have always sold low end to high end genuine jewellery.

The bottom line is, I having been trying to decide what to do for an income and need to get moving fast as I have not worked for 7 weeks since selling my business.

I am scared if I commit my savings into party plan that it may not be successful. I am generally confident, but your own store is your own domain. Being in a strangers home sounds like it could be daunting or intimidating.

Also I was advised by a few members the last time I posted that jewellery can be a hard gig.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Regards

Biddi

From what I can tell the Jewellery makes great money and turn over is pretty fast due to wide and varied taste. You know that when its your own business you have that extra Get up and Go so Im sure you will get over the nerves real quick. If your hungry you need to be fed and that keeps us all going!

Rewards for having a party and sales are irresistable.

Well any business is a risk, I am quite nervous at the moment, we have our launch on wednesday and alot of hard work has gone into and quite a bit of cash as well. So yeah I am nervous, but I keep thinking of the lives we will change and that makes it all worth while also adds to the nerves as so much is riding on it.
