[ExMember148], I really like the sound of this game, although I'm not sure of the legalities of it (if any).
I'm thinking that you could change this too so that everyone spending over X amount got a free entry on the board. I know that you are then out of pocket for a prize but often this is when "Sold Out" items in your kit, etc. come in handy. Or maybe have the prize as a Gift Voucher redeemable at a party.
Remember that if you meet say 50 customers a month - and each one of them just spends an extra $10 (to make sure they get a free entry) - thats $500 extra in sales!!
or likewise - if those 50 customers only spent another $5 (so they could get a free entry) thats an extra $250 in sales!!! Not bad hey?
Anyway - sorry if I dribbled on love the Money Board game idea [ExMember148]!

Hi Kath
I have quite a bit of information on this sort of thing. And I know that, (QLD only that I know of sorry) , as long as you are not benefitting directly from a raffle that it is ok. So therefore this would be ok, because all the money raised is going back into the prizes. And as long as you state at the beginning of the raffle, the price of the tickets, and the prize!
Cheers

Here's another variation on it:
I use a sheet of paper with a box of squares, 4 across and 4 down. I tell everyone that if they like to gamble, they may purchase a square for $2 each or 2 for $3 -- they put their name in it.
All 16 squares need to be purchased.
At the end of the party, you will take a deck of cards and have 2 people pick a number from 1 - 4. The first one is for the top and the second one is for the side. Where those 2 numbers meet is the name of the winner. She gets to spend all the $24 - $32 $$ towards her purchase today. Only rule is she MUST spend all of it. No keeping cash.

I really like the sound of this one. I might just have to give a version of it a go at my next demo. Thanks for the tip.
