Hi everyone

I got a strange phone call yesterday from someone that is on this site.

I had to drag her first name out of her although she expected me to tell her everything including my managers name?

She says she just wanted to warn me that I had an illegal website which features tupperware products (which by the way has been closed down and has been for a while now) oh and that my name address and phone number and even the ages of my kids are featured on this site and I should be careful that people know that I am not home and might come after my kids.

As if I would leave my kids un attended anyway and what business is it of hers wether or not I do.

Being a company consultant my name address and phone number are all over the place I dont see what difference it will make if I have it in a forum that by the way is not open for public viewing anyway so it could only be one of the people off here that called me with all this rubbish.

All I have to say the is concern and there is creapy and you yesterday were creapy, you wouldn't give me your name and wouldn't even tell me who you work with. If you are another tupperware dealer then shame on you for being so intrusive in the way someone else runs their business.

Good luck finding out more about me I am sure you will find me in google somewhere.

Well Jane or is it Jayne thanks for the warning but I think you should mind your own business I am quite capable of looking after mine, what I am doing is not hurting you so but out.

That is very creepy.

I don't understand why anyone would do that.

Good on you for standing your ground.

That is bizarre!

We get stupid calls from Australian Tupperware reps all the time (who will not identify themselves).

"..there is somone on your site who sells tupperware. blah blah, They are not allowed to mention Tupperware, blah blah. Not fair on the rest of us blah blah..."

We are like.. "Thats nice... it is not our problem... why don't you join too!!"

This is  only an issue with Tupperware Australia...

In the States, Tupperware reps are listed on the company website. You can even search for them by distance... AND...

Every Rep gets their own tupperware website. (with online shopping cart!)

Eg: my.tupperware.com/yourname

Tupperware Australia is a few years behind the times!

Scary indeed.

You can actually view posts and member profiles on this site without logging in, so that means that anyone could have gotten that information, it did not necessarily have to be a member here.  This is exactly why I posted a comment the other day when someone mentioned we should all have photos of ourselves on our profiles. When you can't control who looks at the information, I am reluctant to tell too much about myself.  This sort of thing really scares me, because if you think about it, someone with a bit of time and a reason for doing so could actually piece together a lot of information about you from comments made on this site, and then if you have your phone number, where you live etc.. well, again, I don't want complete strangers knowing that much about me.

Please don't read this as being in any way derogatory to this site - it is just unfortunately the nature of the internet.  I am really glad I found this site, I enjoy sharing ideas with everyone and hearing about others' success, but I think you just need to be a bit careful. Just my opinion.

Just a side note - everywhere I go now - shops, and even the school fete where I ran my stall, there was a HUGE stall packed to the brim of Tupperware and a few consultants around. Lots of people where purchasing items on the day.

Is that not more blantent advertising than posting on this site, which is mainly only viewed by our fellow PP's.

Hey PantryPrincess next time I see you remind me to pull that arrow out of the target in your back!!  What is wrong with these people, drop off and let sleeping dogs lie.  Is anyone hurting you? No - then but the hell out of it and leave it alone.  If its not broke, then don't fix it.  How is one supposed to drum up business for oneself if one can't mention the item one does!!  And whether pantry princess has kids, sheep or fairies is really no ones business.   To the person making the phone call : I hope your little phone call gave you your daily jollies!!!

pantryprincess replied:

I cant say the phone call gave me the jolly's more likely pissed me off which anyone who knows me knows that that isnt a good idea, although I did enjoy telling them to mind there own business.

Tupperware has so many rules and they are so rediculous, there are a few demonstrators on here that have there name listed which is against company rules maybe I should ring them all and let them know but sorry I am not like that, they are not hurting anyone and what they do is there business. Personally I think it is someone who is jealous of my business and the fact that I actually sell the products on this site quite well.
