A couple of weekends ago I held a stall at a school fete. My company only allows us to sell the Charity perfume to raise money for the BCN (great cause).
I outlayed $20 for the day and prepared with help from my husband and director "Thank you" slips for customers to fill in and enter my Mother's Day lucky draw. These are designed for my business but I can email the document for you to get some ideas from to suit your own business and my husband is really quick at making these things up.
I had heaps of entries by the end of the day with, whether they were interested in me contacting them about becoming a hostess .... i got really good at talking and suggesting to people to tick the box so i could call them, I also had heaps of interest off people not interested in hosting but enterered their email address to be part of our online VIP CustomerCare Program.
So I have been following up over the last couple of weeks and got 4 bookings from this exercise. WOW! The $20 I spent was a great investment and I also raised $30 for the Le Reve Charity Foundation!!!
It really took me a couple of hours to work on my technique of developing a quick rapport with the customers and I really was spruking to everyone who was walking past about the Charity Perfume. I would love to share more of this successful experience with any other interested people.
I would also love to hear from anyone who knows of any school fetes or other similar events for me to participate in. Any area around Sydney would be great as I have TomTom and company car and love to travel around.

I haven't participated in a Market Stall yet but I have enquired about them by ringing the local council and asking them about them...
I did ring Blacktown Council and they were very helpful!
They sent me enrolment forms to all the fetes for the rest of the year so maybe give them a call...
Congrats on your results...
And next time should be even better because you've had this first experience... :)

Hello AromaFairy (sorry do not know your name )
Sounds like you were a success at the fetes I would love you to share some of your ideas.
Could you email me the sheet you used that was good for customer contact if thats the one you said you could. As i have an expo this Sunday. I also have 5 School fetes starting August. Unfortunaltley i live on the Gold Coast that may be too far to travel for a fete. Thats great you can ring the council for school fetes. Here I had to ring the school and get put through to the P&C.
ANY TIPS OR IDEAS ARE ALWAYS WELCOMED

What a great idea, I have been approached by my friends kids school regarding the fete and I wasn't too sure how i was going to do it. I do know that form that you are talking about, you can download it from the LR website.
I was going to set up a display with all the stuff, take orders if they were required, but I also like the idea of the charity stall and sell the charity with the thank you note.
Well done, congratulations.
