I tried changing the color in the editing section but it remains the same....am i doing something wrong or are ours meant to be pale?

Color only activates if you're a VIP (makes it a lil' bit more special)
Also, with these new signatures - if you don't login for a few days it will 'deactivate' and not show up on your posts. Once you login, it will automatically activate again (timeout does not apply to VIP's)
(This is so someone can't join for free, make one post, and have an Ad running for life without ever coming back again)

Thanks Mr PP. You know i nearly got to answer my own question here as i just noticed Candlekaren has the same type of color as you so i guessed you had to be a VIP to get it. Ok no worries. Thanks

Yes, red is the default background, but as you have seen, you can change the background, text and highlight colors to whatever you want.
