Discussions : General discussion : How do you display your goodies?

I just wanted to ask you all how you prefer to set up in someones home when doing a party. As I have a small amount of goodies, I'm thinking about using a card table, a velvet tablecloth and some pretty flowers in amongst my goods. If I stand behind the table I'm sure to be able to pick up things and pass them around. The couple of parties i've done there hasn't been a whole lot of space anywhere to really lay things out, so I thought my portable option might be a good idea. Any feedback on this would be super. Thanks! Josie.

I just use whatever the hostess has available - preferably a coffee table. That way the products are lower and the customers can see them better when seated. Carting your own table around is just one more thing to carry. I also use a piece of velvet material and use various "props" to decorate, such as flowers, coloured beads, seed pods, splashes of coloured material (chiffon, etc).

The card table idea sounds really good.
With UCW we buy a rack to display the goods but I don;'t have a coffee table in my loungeroom so I think it would be awesome if the consultant brought their own table.

Thanks! Maybe i will bring my table, but if the hostess has something suitable then I can use her stuff instead. that has helped me heaps... Josie

I bought a small camping table from Big W reasonably cheaply. It is light and has a handle so it is easy to carry around. I put a table cloth on it and use whenever my host doesn't have a suitable display place.
