Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this and would like a little advice. My main concern with doing party plan is that my resources are going to run out when it comes to people booking parties. I only have a certain amount of friends and family so my question is how do I get more customers booking parties? I was thinking I may be able to get some from my son' daycare but how do I go about asking strangers to have a party?
Any advice would be appreciated
Cheers
Rachel

Hi Rachel,
There is actually a section on here with booking tips from other members on here that you might find helpful. I personally find one particular lady on here very inspiring as she is doing wonderfully well with her Party Plan business and has alot of great advice to give. I will post a link here to one of her posts so you can have a read.
Generally in your first inital parties your family and friends will invite people that will book their own party. Hostess incentives is a great way to encourage people to book as well as them knowing by them booking they are helping out the hostess etc. Take a read around at the great tips and I wish you luck. You could also run off some flyers to have at your sons daycare or even letterbox drops offering a party and receiving a free gift etc.
Anyway here is one of the posts i was talking about just click on the link.

When you do parties for your friends and family, they will invite people you don't already know, so you get an audience outside your immediate circle. As you take orders at these parties, ask EVERY single person, "Would you be interested in hosting a party like this yourself?" You don't have to be pushy, people expect to be asked and if they like the product and thought your presentation was fun, they won't mind holding a party of their own.
About 1 in 10 (maybe more) will say yes! Follow up with them and hold their parties - they'll introduce you to MORE people and you can ask all of them the same question. Aim to get at LEAST one booking from every party. You MUST ask - this is the key - if you don't ask, don't expect people to form an orderly queue wanting to book with you!
Best wishes, Kirstin

I love booking..
I had a show on Saturday. 2 bookings and one on sunday - 2 bookings.
Try this
I would love to have a party for you.. I can't wait to spoil you.. when you have your party you will be receiving this beautiful hostess gift valued at $60 for free, plus on the day of your show you will get half price pieces and more free jewellery.
remember you do not have to have a lot of ladies. one or two will be fine.. ( when it gets to their party they will invite everyone..and surprise 7-8 ladies will be there...
it will be lots of fun.. Hey Jannie( this is the hostess ). if Sue has a party will you come?
of course i will come...
great can you bring a friend?
Yes i can.
then go to the potential hostess and tell her.. See you already have a show.. what date would you like?
every show is different but at the end of the day this is a sample ..
good luck

Oh thankyou ladies,
The advice is a big help and I feel more confident now.
When it comes to offering hostess a gift, what would you normally give them?
I'd like to offer something but not sure what to offer

we have an array of hostess gifts from the company that are very enticing to our customers. these change all the time and they can choose from 3 or so.. it is always a stunning piece of jewellery that gets the deal.
if your company does not provide it then you will have to find something that is very hard to resist
