I got this offer too today and I got all excited. Until a little birdie told me its better to use vinyl as these can scratch your paintwork.

Hi,

Yup i got this promo too - good idea for those of you not wanting to commit to a sticker.

As for Snazza's comment - Correct! They can cause scratches as dirt gets imbedded underneath it and through movement can cause fine scratches. It depends on how good a hold the magnet has - if it is a good quality magnet, then it should stick securely and not allow this to happen but I know there are some cheaper quality ones out there.

As for scratching cars, you guys would not believe how easy it is to scratch a cars paint work without even realising! (my other half is a car detailer...) Do yourselves a favour - NEVER wash your car in an auto car wash, never try and remove bird poo with a dry cloth, and always rinse your car before washing to remove any lose dirt. They are only 3 of the things I have been told never to do! Also make sure you keep the waxing on your car, or you'll notice it start to fade and peel and also go dull and the paint will be full of swirls.

My darling is quite fussy now when we wash our vehicles, and I am proud to say I have never had to wash my own car because he is worried I will create swirls in the paint. He leaves the interior for me instead. :D

... ok i know i got a bit off topic, sorry guys! haha

but yes, vistaprint rock for many things!

Ladywytch replied:

Just a small addition to the above.  If you park in the sun often these tend to leave a mark as your car will fade and when you take these magnets off you do get a deeper colour even if your car is white.  Hubby had this when he had is QUT car.

^ a sticker on your paint work would have the same effect also. :)

Safest bet - go for a window sticker!

Cris replied:

Is there a trick on getting them to stay on your car.

After admiring my new car magnet for a week, I finally attached it to my car door yesterday on my way to picking my son up from school.

I got to school and everything was OK but by the time I got home it was gone.

All I can hope for now, is that if someone finds it they may be interested in booking a party.

Any hints.

Cris

Hi Cris yours lasted longer than mine I lost in within about 1/2 an hour of putting it on my car.  At first I thought the guys at work were having a joke but no one seems to have any idea about what I am talking about and it hasn't turned up yet.  I lost it last week, the day after I received it. It did look good and I was very happy with the design.  Next time I will get a vinyl one.  You live and learn.

My magnetic P plates fall off all the time, plus they are easy to take, not because they are interested, just because kids are bored!

Liss replied:

where does it say free????

I cant find where the free one is?

jazzyjools replied:

Hi Liss,

The promotion is over now, but if you register with Vista Print they will be sure to have the magnets on offer again as they have regular FREE product promotions and will email you often to inform you.

MJ78 replied:

I must say that this was a fantastic promo. I got four large door magnets for only $60 that was including the delivery, and i say anything that is that easy to promote my business is well worth it!

I have had mine on the car for over a week now!

But I must say that yes, i do take them off the car when parked somewhere and place them inside the front and back windows!

Cris replied:

great advice
