Baby & Kids Markets

Hi, I just wanted to let people know about this market. The customers are mostly mums-to-be, or mothers with children under 5. It is mostly pre-loved stuff, but they have limited stalls for business. In Sydney, they cost $70, not sure about the rest of the country. I've done it a few times and whilst I haven't quite needed an armoured escort to get me and my bags of money(!) home safely, it was been worthwhile.

Advantages:
1. It's a half day format so you aren't stuck there all day
2. It costs money to get in, so the customers are SERIOUS shoppers, ready to spend
3. It is well organised and smoothly run, you get your table in it's allocated place and only one rep from any company is allowed at each event, so no nasty surprises

Disadvantages:
1. Most of the customers are there primarily to pick up some bargains, so they may not be interested in new/retail priced goods.
2. On a slow day you may not make enough sales to justify the $70 booking fee
3. I got a lot of people who 'just want a brochure' and you never hear from them again. (I get ph/email addresses now when I give out a brochure!)

You can check the website at: www.babykidsmarket.com.au but you can't book online for a business stall. Email the organiser, Anne Lewis directly if you are interested in a specific date/venue: anne@babykidsmarket.com.au.
