I went to see my accountant the other day and he put me on to this program... Says it's much more suitable than MYOB and Quicken (because I'm not dealing with creditors and debtors - just what I want/need, simple and effective)
Cashflow Manager
Cashflow Manager is the simple cash GST bookkeeping solution for small and micro business owners.
Simply record your receipts and payments transactions in columns. You don't need to know anything about accounting, and everything is right there on the screen for you to review. Each column has a 'GST' type that automatically calculates the GST and makes your BAS Statement a breeze. The program is so simple that it comes with a full, no questions asked 90 day money back guarantee so there is no risk in giving it a try.
"I am a refugee from MYOB and then Quicken. My accountant recommended Cashflow Manager and I am absolutely delighted with the simplicity and efficiency." (Kaye Whalen)
There is also other add on programs that team up with it ... I think it's great! I've only just started using it and still have a lot of info to put in, but I'm finding it very user friendly!
Trial it for a while and see if you like it!

I love the ATO E- records.
calculates the gst. automatically does the bas statement as well, profit and loss statements and more.
I just input all the receipts and expeneses and and the bas statement is done automatically and it is FREE. you can also input private portion for car and home expenses.. It is great!

Yes, and that is what I was (and still am) using while trialling this one. I've been using e-record since I started, but my accountant seems to be very excited about the cashflow manager, which is why I've taken his advice and downloaded it to trial and decide for myself before making an investment into it.
I like my accountant LOL... and I trust his judgement which is why I thought I would share

excellent, thanks for the link.
I have downloaded the sample to try out, since I will be changing to a fulltime business on July 1 it is probably a good idea for me to get into practice now.
thanks again

hmm.... i was really interested to try it - but it doesn't seem to open in Windows Vista??? Anyone else had this problem???
JodieR replied:
What doesn't open? The download? Save it to your desk top.
I'm not sure what you see.. so here's a couple of scenario's:
If you get a pop up box that says run or save, select save.
right click on link and (I think it's) 'save link as' or one of those to save to desktop.
once saved to desktop... open and run program/install from there.
hope that helps.

fixed it - on their website is how to fix the vista bug. It's because of administrator privlidges, and vista security! Anyone who has a problem, go to the FAQ page on their website... :D
