DOES ANYONE KNOW ABOUT LIMEWIRE?

But my son got me on to Ares, I have found this site to be very good for music & movies.

What I liked about this one is you only needed to download a bit & you can have a look at the quality of the movies before you wasted to much of your time & mbs.

I found it quick to download stuff, I only have dial up were I live(Can't get Broadband here)

I have had it for about 2 or 3 years now & Im happy with it, you'll find some good info here as well.

Hope this helps (But if your happy with Limewire Ive heard its good to) I like to download movies more myself.

Limewire is not a site, but a free file sharing program. People download songs off other peoples computers, and anything you download is available (via your computer) to other people looking to download that song. Anyone using it is actually violating copyright laws (Just like when you rip all those DVD's you hire from the video store).

You can download just about any song / music you can think of off limewire.... but of course I would never use it myself ... or rip a dvd ... I just happen to know a lot about the topic..

Hi All,

My advise is to NOT USE LIMEWIRE!!! my daughter put it on our computer to file share, and low and behold my computer had to be reimaged TWICE, due to the fact that I got 2 viruses and a worm.

So I believe it's not good, you cannot use it with a firewall, so all your defences so to speak are gone.

Hope this helps, as LIMEWIRE is not GOOD!!
