Have you ever woken up and thought "it's going to be one of those days?"

Well yesterday was one of "those" days!! As soon as the kids woke up I could tell they were both in bad moods. One was a pain to get up and the other started yelling at everyone as soon as she got out of bed.

So we decided to have breakfast - one refused to eat and the other kept changing her mind on what she wanted. All the while the yelling continued.

Ok, so we are getting ready to take the eldest to school. Everyone was dressed and just getting hair done - did mine, then elizabeths and then maddison's. Only liz didnt want me to do maddi's hair. So off she went to the kitchen and came back with the ice cream scoop. She then proceed to start swinging it at her sister. Of course maddison reacted by putting up her hand to protect herself and got hit on the thumb. Tears started.

Told elizabeth off and gave her time out while i sorted out maddison - only problem being her thumb turned black. So i'm on the phone, mad is crying, liz is in the cot yelling at everyone. The dr surgery put me on hold for about 15 minutes and then forgot why i had rang them. Luckily someone cancelled while i was on the phone - could we come in right now? Off to the surgery - mad has stopped crying, liz has stopped yelling and I have a major headache already!

Dr took one look at her thumb and informed me that it was broken! And how did it happen. He took one look at elizabeth (who is a tiny little thing) and said that must be one heavy ice cream scoop.

We go to school to collect her homework where she told the teacher her little sister beat her up! Now at home maddison is trying to type up her homework with one hand, elizabeth is trying to climb all over her as if nothing happened and I still have a headache!

I hate to think what may have happened if maddi hadnt put her hand up.

ALL this by 8.45am!!!! And to think I'm the crazy one with 12 weeks to go before number 3 arrives

Oh dear!

We all have our "off" days when the kids can be very demanding leaving you feeling drained and just plain yuk!... sound like you need a nice hot chocolate and relaxing aromatherapy bubble bath to sooth yourself!

Take care!
