Hi There, My name is Antoinette.  Whilst doing some research on Party Plans, I came across this site.  It looks great, and I'm looking forward to being a part of it all.
I'm not currently involved in any Party Plan, as I am researching what it takes to be successful, the knacks of the trade and so forth.
To tell you the truth, I'm finding it all extremely overwhelming..... Has anyone ever started up from scratch? As in, came up with a product and decided to use this method of marketing to sell their product?
If so, how did you cope?  where do you start?
Any feedback would be great :)

Hi Antoinette

Hi Antoinette & welcome to the boards! Everyone here seems to have great advice & tips, and everyone is very supportive.

I haven't started from scratch but there are plenty here who have.

I think the trick is finding something you love and truly believe in.

There is a section for people starting their own Party Plan which might have some useful tips & advice for you too?

Look forward to chatting with you on the boards!

Hi Antoinette,

Welcome to the site. You are sure to find plenty of info around here.

My biz partner and I started Mummys' Little Helpers from scratch, but we don't make our own product- we have simply found a great range of products that we love - and source them from their respective manufacturers.

We are fortunate to also be the exclusive Australian retailer of Binsi Birth Wear, which we import directly from the designer in Colorado.

You have the right idea with doing your research first. There is plenty to take in - but it is so much fun when you are keen and motivated.

Good luck with it all,

Cheers, Andrea.

Hi and Welcome!

I found it easier to start with a company that had been around for a while so I could learn their tips and tricks so if the time came that I wanted to start my own I would have some first hand experience plus listening to customers at parties is good because they tend to give out good ideas.

Goodluck with it all!
