Welcome to party plans. I hope you find things on here that will change the way you think and deal with the party plan business. It is a great industry but you have to find the right product for you and the customer.
Great information.
I have sent you a PM.
Cheers,

Hi New Mummy
I agree with Margie, great advice. Party plan is definitely something that you can work properly, as long as you are passionate about your product or it fills a need for your customer. Please don't give up the idea about staying at home with your son, when I had my first child 10 years ago I did not want to go back to "nomal 9 to 5 hours", I went into a different party plan company than I am with now, and it didn't work, but after shopping around and perseverance I have now been with my current party plan company for nearly 7 years.
Their are many great party plan companies available now, I don't say that mine is the best, I don't think that any are more superior to others, it is what you are interested in or you think will appeal to your area.
I will also send you a PM.
All the best, let us know how it goes.....

Hi there New Mummy!
Firstly, welcome to Party Plans - you'll find this site is FULL of great information, resources and support!! The party plan industry is a GREAT field to work in - where else do you get the flexibility to work around your family & committments, choose what days and the hours you'll work?!
Both Margie and Jo have given some wonderful advice! I congratulate you on your decision to want to work from home, so you can spend that precious time with your son as you watch him grow!! I'm sure that once you've found a product you're passionate about, that you'll find it all gets easier!
We all have our moments when things get quiet or hit some type of obstacle - but don't ever give up!! Believe in yourself, and your products, and persevere, and you'll be happy that you did! I'm going to send you a pm as well... good luck with your future party plan business...
Remember, we're all here to support each other! There's sections on motivation, booking tips etc which you'll find very handy, and which may pull you out of your current state :) - invest in some motivational or "party plan" books for ideas on how to improve your business as well - how to break into a market "outside" of your circle of friends and family!
Again, good luck - hope your search goes well for you!
Cheers,
Ren :)

Hi Carolyn. I'm with Tupperware too and have has some similar issues like you. I have a small family and alot of people I know live at home too. Things started off slow but as I met new people through the few parties I had things started to move along. Now that you have a new baby you'll be exposed to a new circle of people you didn't have before. Where do you live? I'm on the Central Coast NSW. Sarah

Hi,
I am new here too. I currently am a consultant for a aromatherapy, skincare and fragrance company. They are Australian owned and provide great rewards. I ahve been getting great orders but trouble finding parties / booking parties. I think I am not convincing enough. If you are interested let me know.
I also had my first at 20 and 3 children later and being at home I needed to branch out and have some achievement outside the home. It really build your confidence!
See you around the forum.
