Discussions : Questions and answers : How many businesses can you have success with ?

I see a lot off people on this forum are invovled in numerous companies. Some seem to change from one to the other or be invovled in a few.
Why do you move on from one to the other?
Why is it nessecary to be invovled with more than one party plan?
Isn't it better to concentrate on one thing rather than trying to sell lots of various products?
Do you try different companies because you don't succeed in some?
Aren't companies loyal to you so you look elsewhere?
Some products compliment each other. Is this your reason for co party plan companies?
Tell me your thoughts, I am interested to find out peoples views.
Looking forward to your replies.

Hi Margie, Haven't been around since last year, but am finally back on line!!!! I currently do both Nutrimetics and Avon, which I suppose is a bit strange considering they really are competition, but I find that some people find that Nutrimetics is a bit too expensive for them and that the colour range in lips, nails, etc isn't as broad as what Avon has. So, I guess that's the real reason I do both, as I also like products from both companies! Hope that answer part of your question, Cheers, Belinda

I appreciate your comments. I had posted this section a while ago and no body had replied. I find it interesting how everyone thinks and especially the point of view of the business side of things.
Cheers,

I think you will find alot of people havnt replied, as this question gets asked alot, i know i have answered it at least a couple of times :)
For me, I have done 2 pp in the past, as they were 2 very different ones and i kept them seperate.
My first was childrens clothing (that im not doing so much anymore, as it is costing me alot more than im making, especially with advertising materials etc) and these parties are done during the week. Advertising of this is done through kinders, childcare etc....
My main pp now is Flaschengeist, wich alot of you will know is alcohol based, so there is no way that i would mix the 2 parties! lol
Advertising for this is done through friends, pizza shops, etc.... but definently not in the same places as the childrens clothing.
These parties are almost always held on the weekends.
I understand that alot of parents like a drink, but I also believe that it would be very unprofessional of me to combine the 2 in any way at any time.
I like doing the 2 pp, as they are very different. I wouldnt want to do 2 of a similar type.
As you know, im looking to replace my current childrens clothing pp with another, that is in a better price range for my customers.
I believe that i can be successful doing 2 pp if they are this different, but i wouldnt think the same if i was competing against myself with 2 similar ones. (hope that made sense, lol)
Hope that answered at least some of your questions........
