I would love to say this idea was mine, but alas I must admit I stole it from Ren and I think it would be great to have a Xmas in July down here in Vic. Romsey/Lancefield gets very cold in Winter, sometimes we have snow so we do get that European Xmas feel.
July for many of us is the transition from our winter season to summer season. So this would be a great time to secure some forward bookings whilst still having a great ole time.
I am looking for about 10-12 partyplanners who would be interested in participating in this event. I thought I would keep it small initially as a practice run and then can expand to bigger and better things for a possible 'pink ribbon event' in support of breat cancer research.
The afternoon will take place at a winery/spa retreat/conference centre in the macedon ranges. Glen Erin Vineyard Retreat - esclusively known for its 5 star functions. The afternoon will comprise of sparkling wine, basic drinks and finger food/desserts. The cost $36 per head.
My proposal is a slight variation to the theme: 'Girls Christmas Shopping in July'.
The main event of the afternoon will be a fashion show, where all of the party planners would have their product line displayed/mentioned during the catwalk. The purpose of the afternoon is to advertise the pp's and expand their market base and recruiting posiibilities. As it will be fashion based, I seek pp's in the area of fashion, beauty and pampering fields.
The cost for a pp to participate would be $35 plus a gift for under the Xmas tree valued $15+. The location is Romsey, and the date is Sunday 20 July. For the pp's who think it sounds so far. Romsey is just up the road from Sunbury, 20 minutes from Melbourne Airport. And for the ladies East of Melb, the ring roads and by passess have eliminated the need to travel through the city making it an leisurely drive. Ladies in Ballarat/Bendigo a great opportunity to expand your market.
As I am limited to the pp's I am able to have, I will not be able to double up with product lines. If anyone is interested please let me know. First in best dressed. As I am required to place a deposit with the winery to secure this date and event, I must request that pp acceptance can only be confirmed once the $35 is paid.
