Well being a Nurse in a very fickle industry....(dept of defence..but l am a civilian)..l have just received a call from my contractor telling me that they were told my services were no longer required as they want to employ a F/T Nurse and not a part timer..l currently job share 4 d a F/N...
Being a single mum with NO family or support those hrs are the only ones l can manage....Well...even though l want to work l am not able......lets give my job to the male nurse who has little responsibilities as he is able to work full time..

God forbid the employer care about my livelihood...Oh dear tighten the belt strings l must...THIS IS WHY SO MANY NURSES DROP OUT OF THE PROFESSION!!!
It is the most uncaring profession ever.................as far as caring for each other goes...

Well l shall look at this positively.....maybe this did happen for a reason...more time to concentrate on my business..,build my team and book more shows....to enable a solid income to prevail............
I am going to try not to worry or get upset...life will work itself out................
It could always be worse.........
Thanks to this site for letting me vent a little...it's sometimes hard when you live alone and your daughter is at a sleepover ...thank God....

This will be a great year for Mollie and l....l am determined....we so deserve it....

Hope everyone's day is a happy one...
Cheers..Kathy

Oh Kathy that's dreadful news!

It's sad to hear stories like that.  I have always wanted to be a nurse, but I was told by so many in that profession not to bother.  You get treated bad, not only by the patients but the employers and the pay is lousy for what you put up with.

At least you have your PP business to fall back on!  Think of the positives...keep smiling!

Take care and best wishes to you and your family,

Tanya
