I brought a present from OS in September for a 'then' friend for Christmas - yes I plan ahead.
Now we have parted ways and although I don't really wish contact with her again (emotional vaccum cleaner), I really don't know what to do with this gift as it was purposely ordered and made for her.
Should I send it anyway with the hope that she doesn't get the wrong idea, I don't want to turf it but it wasn't made for me or anyone else for that matter (it's a witchy thing).
Ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
M

Hi,
Without knowing why you parted ways, or the present you had made, its hard to comment, but...
could you send it to her anyway with a note, 'just because'? You don't have to mend a friendship just because you would like to be a little giving at christmas time. Maybe the sort of friend she should be is a 'i'm thinking of you at xyz time of year' friend... if you know what I mean!
The other thing you could do is give it to charity. I know it was made specifically for your friend, and wont have any meaning for anyone else, but there are people who will appreciate anything you can give.
Let us know how you go!

Thank you but I am not sure which charity would appreciate an oak wand, hand crafted blessed at Stonehenge in her name on Samhain Eve (Halloween). Told you, a witchy thing. Oh well, I am asking around to see if it can be rededicated.
Thanks anyway - it did bring a smile to my lips to think of St. Vinnies opening a wand.

Riiiiggghhhtttt....
Yep, sure would be funny for vinnies opening that!!!
Good luck getting it rededicated. And btw, what a beautiful gift!
Zammy replied:
Hey Madonna,
If you can't have it rededicated, you could always send it to her from santa
Good luck!

I would just be the bigger person and send it to her regardless of what happened. It may spark a phone call...conversation and you never know...rekindle a friendship.
The friendship is obviously worth something to you if you are still thinking about it. Bite the bullet, it's a lovely gesture
Merry Christmas
