Hi Lola,
Best tip - before you begin the journey- is identify your "target market" ie- who do you want to advertise to? This will help you decide where is best to advertise/promote.
Then- very important - find out HOW MUCH your advertising will cost you!
This has been our biggest hurdle. Finding the cash to get the exposure needed.
Cheers, Andrea.

Hey there,
I've found with building any business that consistency is really important - consistently keeping an eye on incoming funds and outgoing funds, consistently making sales calls, consistently being aware of what you need to be doing and when.
By consistently doing something brings short-medium-long term results. But it does take dedication, determination and discipline to do things consistently.
So figure out your plan, write it out and stick to it in terms of getting key income generating tasks done (plans do evolve and improve so be sure to let this happen too).
I'd completely agree about the cost of marketing and advertising issue. I have the approach now of thinking if something is going to cost me X then will it bring me 3-6 times that in sales income? It just gets me looking around with a keener eye for costs and sales.
I have a heap of free articles about party plan on my website at www.CreativelyBelle.com/articles that you might find useful too.
All the best,
Belinda
