"The Secret" is probably the one l flick through and read mostly , especially this year...
I always feel motivated to do better and try harder after 'scanning' it....if you haven't read it , it is definitely worth a look at..

anything by Mary Christensen (the queen of party plan) is great.

Other than that any positive thinking books will certainly help

shoot me, but yep, I am a 'secret' believer too.  As it so happens, I have misplaced my copy and somehow really feel that this has negatively impacted on me this year.  I am off right now on a search and destroy mission.  Who bets I find it in the last place I look??

Ladywytch replied:

Tony Robbins without hesitation.

This man is so 'juiced' on life that his enthusiasm is so damn infectious.

'Get the Edge' is the most motivating series of CD's I have ever heard and if I have a bad day I just throw one on - any one - and instantly feel better.

He takes you through an holistic change and not just one area of your life.

Ideas are based around NLP which in itself always involves some deep soul searching but WOW!!!!

Going to one of his seminars too is the best money you can spend.

Ok so I ama big fan can you tell?He is the best.

My favourite is the Secret book and DVD.  I have read quite a few over the years and they really helped me about 12 years ago when my partner and I split up leaving me to look after our then 2 1/2 year old daughter.  These books gave me the strength to believe in myself.

How to get what you want, Think and Grow Rich, How to win friends and influence people, Rich Dad Poor Dad, the Celestine Prophecy, and others that I have lent out and forgotten about.

For Party Plan selling, I've found 'Build it Big' (DSWA) very useful. Some of the articles are a bit OTT in a v American way, but LOTS of great ideas and motivational gems.

I love The Secret too and Tony Robbins is unbelievable. My hubby went to UPW this year and came back a different man - even gave up smoking (Yay).

I also like 'How to get from where you are to where you want to be' by Jack Canfield (same guy from 'Chicken Soup for the Soul') and 'You were born rich' by Bob Proctor (both of these guys were also part of The Secret).

I listen to CD's in the car as I travel 40 mins to work and have little time to read - I listen to the CD version of Jack Canfields Succ3ess Principles, Rich Dad Poor Dad, Zig Ziglar (great for building confidence about selling), Think and Grow Rich, Average to Fortune by Jim Rohn and Tony Robbins stuff.

Even the kids have to listen to it  as they are 30 mins away from their school and travel with me. The other day when I was rousing on my 9 year old son, I said "You can't be lazy like that when you are working for a boss" to which he laughed and said "Oh Mum, I'm not going to work for some company - I'm going to OWN the compay", so I guess making them listen rather than giving in and flicking on the radio may just pay off.

I find the Secret very good too - positive and constructive.

I also love the practical books by Michael Gerber for building successful and robust businesses. They get me inspired to achieve.
