We've discussed the good ol' PARTY FLOPS already - and I figure that one of the ways to combat the FLOPS is to really encourage your Hostesses to get lots of Outside Orders.
At least this way - you know you'll be walking away with some good sales even if nobody turns up! plus you're still able to give the Hostesses her Benefits (ie some PP Companies only give benefits once the party sales hit a certain amount).
So I'd love to hear from others, ways they encourage their Hostess to get some outside orders BEFORE their party date.

Does anyone offer an extra incentive prize for a certain amount of outside orders?

I also offer small prizes for the Hostess if they get 2 outside orders and also give them another prize if they get outside orders totally $250!! Most of them work towards these as i set other little challenges aswell and they get a prize for each they get, I have had some Hostess only get a few but most work towards the lot and if they get them all the also get a $20 voucher!!

Thanks Girls - they're great ideas - and they sound like they really work well too.
Anyone else have any suggestions?

Hi all, I've been off line for just over a week now and have missed reading all the posts. I like Mel, have had to move and it is a very stressful time.
Kath, I really don't want to sound too negative here, you know me and you know Im a very positive person, but even with the best hostess coaching, you ringing and confirming when your supposed to, sometimes, you can still end up with a flop....just very recently I did a party and no one showed up, even though I had re-confirmed with the hostess. I still sat down with her and went through a hand treatment (even gave myself one) and then I even gave her a facial. I was there to do my job, so I did with a smile on my face.
We at Diva always offer 10% of the sales to the hostess even if the sales don't reach the minimum level party of $250. I always give my hostess' a little something for having me in their home - this is out of my pocket.
So I guess what Im trying to say is even the best laid plans sometimes and not very often (this was my first) just don't come off, but at the end of the day I guess we have to take the good with the not so good.
Sorry, I guess I went on about the flop too much, but like I said it was my first and a little dissapointing and frustrating. Thanks all for letting me get that off my chest. Back to my cheery self now....lol..

hi,
sometime i think that you can host coach them fully and they still don't get it. But if 99% of the time it works and gets you great sales . the flop then makes the great partys even better.
every outside order that the host gets - amke sure the full details are there for you to ringand confirm the order then ask the guest if they want a party. if they dont't at least they see that you are serious about them and their order.
chat soon ,irene.

I use a pie chart with 9 slices in it and they can cross off 3 slices to earn a prize.
The slices currently say :
HOSTESS FUN SHEET
"We all love pie"
How many slices can you eat?
As you consume your pie you WIN extra gifts.
Simply cross off each slice as you achieve it and you will WIN.
3 slices = Enhance Pre Wash Spotter (Valued at $10.40)
6 slices = PLUS an Ultra Cream Cleanser (Total value $18.10)
Whole pie = PLUS Hyaline Glass Cleaner (Total value $27.30)
BONUS ! Ask me about the selling opportunities in
Tri Nature and you can cross out any slice.
The secret is to make the tasks achievable and everyone wins.
E.G. If she achieves 1 & 8 she has probably also achieved No 10 & I have a good attendance with at least 10 guests.
One of my special starter packs is $62.85 so if she achieves No 6 & 9 she is a long way toward No 2 and another slice of pie & I have good sales.
This is of course on top of the prizes she earns from the company. Just my little incentives for her hard work.
